Laptop screen is 17inch 1080 120hz, I put the resolution at max 1080.

GPUs: 2x Nidvia 970m sli

I really like this screen, its bright, the screen doesnt split when scrolling web pages like in a smaller laptop I have. I only wish the colors would stand out more, but I cant complain. Its one of the better TN screens out there.

Monitor: Samsung 2343BWX @ 60 Hz
GPU:MSI 7970 @ 1100/1500

This is a rare resolution limited run monitor from a few years back. It was made for dual webpage viewing.

For gaming its really good. I would like to get something new soon. Maybe black Friday a 144hz high res deal.

Cant say much now as I have been busy but playing car racing games and BF4 is awesome though i really have to move my head not only eyes during gaming. lol

Thanks Peche, it is just a matter time I guess.

I am frankly quite satisfied at this 1680x1050 resolution maybe it is because I have not try better things.

I would be looking forward to a 4K tv as monitor. As for graphic card currently would love an R9 390.

4K would be a very huge jump in screen real estate for me makes for a very enjoyable use to do things. I would like a Tv compared to a monitor instead because of the size, I don't want to use Windows scaling to be able to see at such a high resolution. A 40 inch 4K would be nice to have a 1:1 display without having to squint my eyes. A 32 inch would be good too but 40 feels right. It would feel as immersive as multi monitor without the bezels. Just imagining.
Korean 4K monitors come in all sizes. They make em in 39,40,40,46,.........and on, so scaling shouldn't be an issue.

I went triple 1080p displays with my gtx970. However games on that resolution (3x1080p) that actually look good are scarce and the videocard for 1080p was a bit overkill to play games like Dota 2.

So I swapped out the middle one with a 1440p display and I'm very happy with it :)

Few of my opinions:
1. 40" 4K is about the same ppi as 27" 1440p, a little bit too small for me. You'll need to be sit very close to enjoy it but counterintuitively you have big ass screen. IMHO 43" (100ppi) would be better if you want 1:1.
2. At 200% image scaling it's enjoyable but also very sharp looking. You'll need to zoom out if you want space back, but the point is you have choice for it (big UI + big content by default, but with zoom out it'll be big UI + small content).
3. Forget Radeon if you want 4K TV. Radeon even Fury has only HDMI 1.4 which is only capable for 4K@30Hz. DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter is still a month away at the earliest (and if they don't lie). Wait if you want.

Thanks for the suggestion. How do I zoom out at will in windows 10? I am not getting any soon just planning in the future first.

App by app lol. For example with windows image scaling 200% and page zoom 50% in Chrome, you'll get easy to read UI but spacious website/content. The same goes for the like of Word or Excel.
It's a hassle but mostly it's only a matter of initial setting of default zoom level. There are several apps that doesn't affected by windows scaling though (some Adobe softwares for example).

Game is a different story of course since you could choose your own resolution and center/stretch scaling.

I voted for 1080p and then remembered I'm on 1920x1200, feel ashamed now. It's a Dell driven by a 970. I like 16:10, but I doubt I will ever buy one again - the price difference is just not worth it. Thinking about 1440p @ 27" is my next step, dunno when though.

HD7790. Havent played games in almost a year. adulting is hard.

Resolution: 1080p
GPU: Radeon HD 7850
Monitor: ASUS 23" VH238

Why: I'd like a 27" 1440p monitor, but those things are still way too expensive for me, about 3-4 times more than my current basic, decent 1080p monitor (€500+ vs €150). I'd mainly like the extra desktop work space, although with a better GPU I'd enjoy gaming at 1440p as well. I already run some lighter games (like CSGO) at 1440p using VSR, but most games become way too heavy for my HD 7850 at that res, so to properly enjoy a higher-res monitor I'd need a new graphics card too -> too high cost for my income.

I'll probably wait and see if 1440p monitors ever become reasonably priced, then I'll also wait for the next GPU generation and then upgrade.

Resolution: 1080p
GPU: Radeon R9 270
Monitor: Asus VS228

Nothing much to say actually. I'm planning to upgrade my Pc with a high end Pascal/Arctic Island graphics card next year. After that i'll consider buying a bigger monitor.

pascal is what most people is waiting....

The old 780m sli that were in there ran about 17C more, these maxwell designs are just amazing in cooling.

 Adults can play games too!
yes we can and we will beat yo ass, but getting time is hard :p also slowly getting addicted to petrol driven things...

2560x 1440. GTX 980. Perfect balance of performance vs resolution I think.

well i like those things too, but there should be time for everything you really like to do!
i use to get in my cars club activities, into karate, ramdon repairs, mods, work, electric guitar, friends and also big space for gaming, no more girlfriend time cause we just broke, so adulthood is not a excuse these days....

well, the important things is having something that moves and takes full advantage of that res! GTX 980 is enough power for it! the money factor is something that several people take on consideration, here in costa rica 2560x 1440 screens still overpriced, but there are several TV's with HDMI and computer compatible that can be bought but is a risk to take when you purchase a brand that you dont know and also reputation on is not that strong as you wish.!

CinemaScope / UltraWide all the way...

Home: 21:9 1080p
GPU: GTX 670

Work: 21:9 1440p
GPU: Intel HD 6000 (Intel NUC)

Trivia: 3.440 x 1.440 pixels is 40% less load than 3.820 x 2.160 pixels while imho providing better immersion than 4k at the same time. This will be my go to resolution as soon as Arctic Islands / Pascal arrive.
