I had an Atari 2600 and the first game was Pong.

My first PC (an IBM PS/2 286) had DOS 4 on it, and I played games like Frogger and Packman.

Any chance you played Q bert and Bazerk on that ?. I did have the older version BIG chunky swiches. i remember riping my second one apart 1st thing i seen was this brown PCB with a BIG chip on it lol.

My dad was in the arcade business when I was growing up. If you can name a game that was in the arcades during the 80s I played it, because we owned it.

Because of that I have no idea on what game was my first game.

My first ever game i have memory of playing regularly, to the point where i was thinking ''Cant wait to get on my PC and play'' was Dune 2. One of the first ever RTS games, i was hooked on RTS ever since. Then, of course, i went through Wolfenstein, Doom, C&C95 etc. I remember losing my Dune 2 when i couldn't find the Floppy Disk to install it.

Good old memories, fond memories. PC's 4 life!

I remember I used to play a lot of commander keen and duke nukem back in the 2d days. Anyone else remember the old duke nukem with the little wave bullets. Priceless. And then the conversion to 3d for duke nukem was revolutionary at the time. Man, I can't even play that game now. I think the game that changed my gaming (and perhaps even my general) direction would have to be earthbound. Crazy psycadellic RPG nintendo experience. Played when I was like 7 or so and since have always been drawn to RPGs and the, well lets just say, unknown.....

First game I ever played was on commodore 64, when I was 6. Dunno what it was called but little penguins ran across the bottom of the screen carrying building blocks and you had to guide them to the right spot to build something or some crap. it sucked, unless you let the penguins fall down the garbage chute which was funny. well, to a 6 year old that is.

First game i remember by name was Pacman on the Atari. age 7 or 8.

First game addicted to? Sim City 2000. Or possibly Warcraft.

best all time? depends on m mood tbh, somtimes its ff7 others its gt4, sometimes its smash tv and then sometimes its another world.

damn, i can remember playing duck hunt and smb 1 and 3 with my dad before i could walk. as soon as i was strong enough(about nine months old, methinks), he sat me in front of the tv with the second controller(or blaster, depending on what we were playing) and taught me how to jump from platform to platform and eat mushrooms that show up after headbutting blocks that float in mid-air. been a gamer ever since.

although nes was my first, i have been obsessed with the classics since around '97. that's about the time i found my nes in my closet after not seeing it for like 4 years. hooked it up, played it, then got some atari games, arcade and 2600. tempest really caught my fancy.

the first shooter i ever played was "Operation: Body Count." it's an old dos 4.0 game, i used to play it on a 486 rig from packard hell, circa 1994. after that i got into doom, which i STILL play.

all in all, even though i play all the newest games and try to keep up with consoles, i still play all the games that take me back to my gaming roots, whether it's on an emulator or (preferably) the actual system. in fact, my 3rd rig(as seen in my specs) is completely dedicated to this purpose, and as soon as i save up enough, i'm building an arcade style case with ports on the front for various controllers. this is actually the one i'm going to try to match. notice the drawer for the keyboard and mouse

Started it all with Super Mario Brothers for the NES and the japanese version of Super Mario Brothers 2. First FPS I played was Wolfenstein 3d and still play it today for vacation boredness relief. But the best of them all is Doom 1/2 and Final Doom, which I also still play today... online that is.
