I thought we would also have a comparison test between RTX On and Off. Is it possible at a later date please?

Brevity? Originality? Not looking like a content mill? Actually providing value to the reader?
You must be an english teacher if you think reiterating things with different words actually adds any value. The results of testing are the results of testing. If you get the same results, why bother? You're acting like they actually pay these writers a lot or at all when the average writer pay for these kinds of articles is below north american minimum wage (it is per article not per hour)

The chosen scene wasn't the best scene to show the quality differences of the TAA, DLSS & FSR. As someone that can test FSR, the quality drop is extremely noticeable. Texture quality with FSR goes down to well below even 'low' texture preset settings. These two screenshots are comparisons of TAA & FSR at the same exact settings. The Witcher TAA/FSR Comparison
I was referring to FSR and DLSS. I think that you're talking about a different picture than I was.

Of course TAA is better because TAA is native resolution. That's what I always use because I have no need to use upscaling software on an RX 6800 XT.

Everybody gets screwed with this update. It runs like absolute turd on my 3070. Even with RT off it's a stutterfest compared to the old version. I also get constant frametime problems when RT is enabled, yet for some reason enabling Reflex largely smoothes that out.

Reflex off:

Reflex on:

No other settings changed, G-Sync enabled. Although it will randomly just start doing it again for a couple of seconds every now and then for no apparent reason.
I'm guessing that's because they updated the textures. Getting real tired of almost every DX12 game or patch launching with constant stutters, I can't recall playing a new DX12 game this year that didn't stutter tbh

Today's patch improved a bit on the smoothness of the DX12 version but didn't help with the difference in performance to the DX11 (96-99FPS for DX12 and 125-126FPS for DX11 in the same scene with all graphic settings same).

GPU MFers paying these game studios to 'reinvent' their games to drive sales of the newest series of GPUs. I paid nearly $700 for my 3060ti back in the summer and now I can barely run a 7yo game as patched.

A link would be helpful as in nexusmods there isn't any mod for the next-gen W3 with that name yet.

@maxus24 Still don't understand why you don't review the games as they ship, and do the modded .dll's as an addendum.
It does not reflect the expected user experience. You don't overclock or mod hardware before reviewing it either.
75+% of users dont mod or overclock... thats why... my parents are doing well in retirement but have a ps4 lvl in cpu and gpu a 2013 system a demanding os a decade later an thats not a one off, 3-4 out of 5 gamers i know dont overclock soo your comment... that i could back up more... dosnt relfeft the user exp because it dose over 60% of pc owners dont do any real research or comparison fyi cyber power site is using a 1030 as the lowest gpu u can buy (not getting one is not a option) that is the ddr4 version running games at 1080-720p old old games at low low res and framrate... the gup is lower then the 2013 consoles but i DARE u to build a cheap decent one yourslelf vs a current console i win... i know i win spec it right now and link it...

1: Hey CDPR, we need fast money, what can we do?
2: We can take the good old TW3 and implement some RT and some mod form nexus, sell it like new for the next gen console... Pratically no work and money needed...
1: Ok, but do it fast..
2: But if we do it fast it will be a shit like CP2077 at launch...
1: What's the problem? People liked it too...
2: Ok, you are the boss...

Worst implementation ever... RT effect way unrealistic than the rastered ones, performance of a citroen dyane 2cv, maybe in 4 or 6 months we will see a decent fps and rt implementation, for now stay away from this game... or play it the old way.

For me 4K FSR looks better than 4K DLSS but 1440p DLSS looks better than 1440p FSR.

However need to see footage also, as shimmering is a thing I hate.

Yeah how quick this came out after launch of DLSS 3 strongly hints at them been paid to do it, the performance drop also fell nicely into Nvidia's hands.

I have a 4080 and I play on 4k FG only. The game looks 99% the same to me in DLSS Quality VS Performance. I wish the article would include a different comparison image, all the foliage and clouding makes it difficult to compare. But I love the idea of the image comparison, keep up the good work :rockout:
