Time for a new mechanical keyboard... What should I get?

I spilled a whole smoothie on my current keyboard, which is this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16823129024

I took the keys off and took the whole thing apart and cleaned it, but I want to be ready to order another one, just in case that one doesn't survive. If it survives, I'll keep my existing keyboard. For now I'm using a logitech wireless keyboard which is the only one I had floating around :'(

Since I can't find that same keyboard anywhere now, (even back when I bought it I couldn't find it anywhere and then the moment it was on Newegg I bought it there and then shortly after it went out of stock)... I do have a $15 credit with cooler master so I'd like to buy from their online store if possible,. My purchase preference is 1. CM store 2. Amazon 3. Newegg 4. Other?

Anyway, I need a full size keyboard with numpad, must be backlit, and I really love the MX blue switches in my current keyboard. However, it seems that brown is easier to find, so I'm wondering how they will compare. I use my computer for 75% web development/typing and 25% gaming.

If I'm willing to go brown I see these two:

http://www.cmstore-usa.com/quickfir...-backlighting-and-customization-brown-switch/

http://www.cmstore-usa.com/masterkeys-pro-l-mechanical-rgb-cherry-mx-brown-switch/

Is the only difference the fanciness of the backlight? Really I had no issue with the normal blue backlight on my old keyboard. I do see on CM's site that they make a Blue switch version of that more expensive one, model SGK-6020-KKCL1-US but it is out of stock on B&H, which is the only place I can find it (I did register for in stock notification)? Why are all Blue keyboards always so hard to buy?

Thank you for any input on this.

I own G910, and it's pretty good...

Hmm... G410 does not have numpad so it will not work for me ;) I found this one, which seems good... only thing I'm worried about is the front of the keyboard is curved, and I use one of those wrist rest thingies...

I have the MX Brown variant of that keyboard and the build quality on it is outstanding, apart from one thing that seems the plague it, the CTRL keys break at some point and it will probably happen on yours as well, just something to consider, great keyboard apart from that.

I'm loving my G.Skill KM780 with the brown switches, bit spendy though.

About half a year, if you do get this keyboard ,you should order replacement caps as well, its standard Cherry MX keys so it should be easy to find and too expensive.

I just got a Logitech G610 with Cherry MX Brown keys. It is backlit as well. Found it on sale for $74, so that's something to consider.

Knew it be a Rosewill :p, but yes if he's after same kinda size keyboard and other stuff like his old one this Rosewill looks like a possible fit.

Tesoro are a re-brand from max keyboard. Been using on of their G1NL keyboards now for over 3 years on mech browns. No issues at all.

Yeah they do some nice keyboards how ever with mine at least the software sucks no end, maybe they did a better job with these newer ones ?.

No idea about the software TBF, I don't use any with the G1NL. I don't even have the media keys installed. I just use it over the PS/2 connection as a basic mechanical.

If it all works you just need to de-solder each key and LED and take each switch apart to clean and re-lube.

You MAY get away with taking the cap of each effected cap and using some high % isopropyl and a que tip around the switch when pressed in.

WHAT!? No way in hell I'm taking all the time to do that. I'm cheap, but I'm not THAT cheap. My time is worth more than that... besides the likelihood of me not screwing it up is low as I haven't soldered anything in years.

WHAT!? No way in hell I'm taking all the time to do that. I'm cheap, but I'm not THAT cheap. My time is worth more than that... besides the likelihood of me not screwing it up is low as I haven't soldered anything in years.

Well the only way to get better at it is to do it, but as you don't feel like it's worth the time i am always up for this kinda thing :p, So if ya thinking of just binning it pm me already ;). Some thing to do while watching TV ha.

Benchmark Scores i'm working on that
I just picked up a Corsair Strafe RGB with cherry mx silent keys. Honestly, its the best feeling keyboard i've ever used. Doesn't hurt either that the lighting is so customizeable i'll never get all the possibilities down. Set up a sweet fps profile though.

I've always loved Deck keyboards personally, but they are kinda spendy.

I'd be using one now but ever since I tried cherry mx greens I can't type on anything else... yeah, you thought blues were hard to find. :p
