nVidia and ATi are releasing their new 45nm cards mid-late June, so you could wait for that.

maybe wait until the 9800gt has more difficulties with running at high res with most games before upgrading. I'm using one with an overclock at 1280x1024 and I can run anything I want. When it's time to upgrade, I will, but it's money down the toilet otherwise.

Personally I say the 8800 gt is a very capable card..
no need to upgrade..
unless you want to dual/tri or quad sli it.
The differences just aren't enough in my book yet to warrant an upgrade.

could look at your memory or cpu though.

After looking at your specs.
I'd say upgrade the memory.

still not a lot of games taking advantage of quad cores..
your dual core is also very capable and overclocked well..

I can run Crysis max out on all. I'm running a q9550 quad CPU, 4 gig mushkin ram, GTX OC 280. I love my GTX 280, I max everything. The quad core is awesome. I know that games run better on duel cores for now but ripping DVD's is awesome on the quad. Plus it is better future proof. Think about it, a duel core is slightly better than a quad now but in a year or two when the game take advantage of the quad, you will not regret it. I remember when duel cores were slower than single cores and I was happy to have my AMD 4000+. That didn't last long.
