Here is what I am running at the moment:
The processor is water-cooled but I have never had time to try and overclock it past stock 3GHz.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q-E
Memory: 4 x1gb ocz 800mhz
Hard Drive: 3x 250GB 1x 320GB 1x 400GB 1x 2TB
Video Card: Visiontek radeon 4870 512mb
Sound Card: Creative SB X-Fi platinum fataility
PSU: Corsair 750watt
Operation System: Windows 7
The only problem is that I do not know what processor to get, the previous generation 2500k sandy bridge or the new 3570k ivy bridge. I have done a lot of research about the 3570k and i know it has problems with over clock + heat. I want to be able to overclock and get more out of my processor since i have a triple 120mm rad and a single 120mm rad. Should I wait for revisions to the ivy bridge series? Or will they probably not switch the manufacturing process?
This is what I am looking to get:
and as for a graphics card I am looking at the GTX 670
ASUS GeForce GTX 670 Direct CU II TOP 2 GB :$420
Those are the only parts I would be upgrading so tell me what you think!
