Tomato firmware for Aus ac68r

I don't know if that firmware gives stability and performance for my asus router or not coz I usuallly have disconnection with my AC68R. Anyone here is using it? My asus firmware is using the latest one 3.0.0.4.380-1842 .Thank you.

Try the RMerlin version, i use it on my AC68 and it's 100% rock solid.

Go Merlin. I still run Merlin on my AC66R and its solid, is based on AsusWRT, adds features and is more stable.

Granted my Asus is relegated to AP duties these days it works much better with Merlin vs AsusWRT. Try it first if you wanna step out of the factory firmware.

Can you expand on the disconnection issue with your router? Firmware might or might not help here...the one thing Merlin fixed for me was WAN DHCP resolution without needing to reboot. That alone was worth it.

Its just random disconnected. Its usually disconnected like 3-4 out of 10 times before the firmware update. After updated, the disconnectioni is around 1-2 times. During disconnection, all lights on modem and routers are on. I just flashed Merlin firmware and hasn't seen any disconnection yet, but I'm unable to use Asus Aicloud. Can't connect to the cloud. Using the latest beta 1 of merlin firmware.

IIRC there's known vulnerabilities in AiCloud which is why it might be disabled. But check the logs, it should mention if it is disabled and why. Otherwise post on the forums and you'll likely get a quick answer if someone hasn't already asked it there.

Do you rely on AiCloud?

By asking if you rely on it, I'm asking if you need that functionality...I know how AiCloud works.

Reading the changelog, and searching for stuff related to AiCloud (CRTL+F):

It seems AiCloud is still available and he's fixed bugs related to AiCloud...or at least the last fixes were implemented just over a year ago...

I would try the most recent stable release if I were you. There could be something in the beta that is breaking AiCloud...
