Same here. As soon as I got to the Discord server it totally locks my Chrome browser and I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL and close it in the task manager.

Running Windows 10 if that matters.

Is Chrome up to date? Three vertical dots in upper left>About and you can update there. If you are up to date, are you using any extensions or adblockers that may be interfering?
There's also a standalone app (which is smaller than something like TeamSpeak): https://discordapp.com/download

sorry for the confusion being unclear, Firebug(FF/WF add on) is telling me there is an issue with that *.js file (line 82) in the code for the discord PAGE (not standalone app). Dont know how else to tell you that the discord browser chat is FUBAR from whatever recent changes there were to it.

The only changes that happened over a week ago was the bot. Try the client instead?

Discord is great, but yes, use the standalone app for it. The browser thingy isn't always what it should be.

When I imagine what it would sound like if I could hear everybody who is an active techpowerup member, for some reason I have a feeling that I would hear a lot of parrot/bird sounds in the background. I dont know why I imagine it that way, but i do. :rolleyes:
