TPU's Nostalgic Hardware Club

I miss Samsung HDDs. Just wanted to say that. :)

And why would that be ? Most of the time i encounter Samsung HDDs they are dead or with bad sectors... The 160GB sata II i did use on my test bench was solid, but did fall one time and did go to the scrap... I miss more the old SeaGate IDE drives, back then they were build so well.... Quantum drives were bad, as most of them are dead, or with bad sectors, and they all are also x3 times louder then any other brand lol, still like to collect them anyway huh... Conner HDDs are very hard to find in good cosmetic state, and even more to power up, and even less to not have bad sectors lol...

Playing with the T60 for few min.... Happy the machine is good, and what i throw at it, just works... CS 1.6 is still fun... But what is not fun is the god damn lagg from
cl_flushentity packet, that happened in servers... My best guess is that the WI-FI card is weak, and it has poor signal or something, i will replace that part, then will prob work better. Problem is locating exact parts for that machine is hard, when u dont shop from ebay....

Ofc i am opened to suggestions, if someone knows fix to the CS 1.6 nonsense....

I think I still have several Samsung 160GB drives in the basement. I had 3 of them in a Raid5 config just to see if I could. It worked pretty good from what I can remember, although not as fast as 3 74GB Raptors in Raid0. :)

Like all hard drive maker, there are defectives. Most Samsung HDDs were solid.
Yup I agree I had 3 1TB Samsung HDD's and they were pretty damn good 1 died after 10 years and the other two are as far as I know are still up and running in a PC I gave away about 5 years ago. I only stopped using them because I upgraded to an SSD and a couple of 2TB WD Red HDD's for the storage

Friends, what do you think about this card? Is it better than the standard GTS 250? It clearly has more RAM, but it is certainly not for mass sale and is implemented in certain machines. Why is the name GTS150?
I have the same card.
And yes; it's a strange card because GPU-Z shows me a GTS 250 instead of a GTS 150.
Device ID is 0615 = GTS 250
