Trouble Getting AMD Drivers

Hi, I've been dealing with a problem of mine for a while with a GPU my dad gave me a while ago. He gave me an AMD Radeon HD 5770, I had it set up on my pc and it just showed up as AMD Radeon 5700 Series I thought that it was just a bug and it would fix with the driver but going to install drivers for it the drivers just didn't recognize the GPU, with some digging I realized that it was an AMD Radeon HD 5770 Mac Edition. I was hoping someone could help me to see if I can make it work with the normal drivers or I have to find drivers that apple has released for it. I'll attach the GPU-Z screenshot to see if that can be any more help. thank you :)

You might try the second driver listed here.

Is it possible to flash a PC BIOS to it?
I would only attempt it if the user had a spi flasher to restore the original bios or a backup card or igpu to run as main display

Are you sure the automatically installed driver doesn't work? I see nothing wrong on the GPU-Z screenshot. OpenGL, OpenCL and DirectCompute are ticked, your clock speeds are showing, etc. The "Radeon HD 5700 Series" name is normal for a card of this generation, they all showed up like that back then.

Mac gpu in a windows environment isnt going to give you drivers, you need mac os or get a RX 6400

If it's a Apple AMD 5700XT wouldn't it be better to just sell it and get another card ?, and even possibly come better of from it..

Maybe even list it on ebay for $300 and mark it as parts and all so say that you do not know if it fully works as drivers cannot be installed on windows.

except it's a HD 5770 not a RX 5700 XT ;)

They still do

So how does the actual Mac 5700XT show up in windows ?. Or as this thing been bios modded or some thing ?.
seems so, i have a 7000 series AGP ( Radeon 7500 Mac Edition to be precise ) from a Powermac G4 that show up in windows if i put it on my KT6V, but fail to work correctly as it has a special proprietary power connector on the left side of the AGP connector (and also the proprietary display connector alongside the VGA but could display a VGA signal and windows) iirc modded Bios was only needed for win card to mac and not reverse (example if i wanted to replace it with an Asus Radeon 9800 Pro that i have )

not sure if it's the case here tho ... but the subvendor is listed as Apple

If user has a backup plan then we can try the flash.

I cant guarantee it will work though

oh, no no no, i was not advising for a fash, just answering about "do they show on windows unmodded" (plus my case is the reverse ;) )

nonetheless flashing a HD 5770 Mac Edition would be not worth it anyway (but replacing my 7500 by a 9800 Pro HECK YEAH! ... but i am too lazy )

I don't know why it hasn't worked its basically the same card but I think the issue is that it used to be in a Mac. although it's the same card and has two mini-display ports and a dvi it still shoots out video signal and win 10 had preinstalled drivers for it, but they were for a mobile GPU. I'm thinking about upgrading my PC as a whole but I wanted to see if I could figure out this driver problem :p

From what I know this hasn't been touched all that it's been done is taken out of a mac and into my PC lol, I've tried BootCamp drivers for it and they work but they're older than the drivers on the actual AMD drivers website.

There's a possibility that the NimeZ drivers could work? I'd say it's worth a shot.

i tried it, didn't work unluckily thank you for trying to helping :D

Not going to make much difference being newer for a card that came out in 2010
