And i SAID one at a TIME

you can only use one or the other. nVidia and ATI don't mix dude. you can'y have both cards installed. they are both different chipsets and of course... different brands.

you can use the gf to practice soldering v-mods... and then mod the 850. :D

oh yess. finaly the answers i was looking for. thanks it dosent hurt to ask. hey Phanbuey thats hilarious

If you don't mind driver conflicts you can install both, but don't expect a performance increase. Mainly would Only do this if I really need multi monitor support. But then again, I would come back and suggest a Matrox video card. Advisable to install both: no. Possible to install both: yes.

no you cant crossfire/sli them, and no the 5200 wont do physx, so definatly not, it would only add more ports which you probably dont need....

Wait a min, you have agp slots only?
You are using windows XP, so you can can a geforce and a ati card together. Use the ati card, and use a geforce card for Nvida GPU physx. However, you may need to buy a Radeon HD card, and get a cheap 8 series card to enable the gpu physx.

Why would you want to? By today's standards both cards are lower than low-end. The Geforce FX 5200 was one of the worst DX 9.0 cards by Nvidia, those cards blew back in 2002/2003, in 2008/2009 I doubt they'll run the intro of any games. The x850 was good 5 years ago but just like the Geforce FX 5200 it wouldn't play any of today's games, not even on low settings, unless you plan on running games from 2002/2003 or you don't game I'd put both cards in the trash.

If you've got an AGP slot pick up a ATI 3850, they aren't the fastest cards but at least you'll be able to play today's games at moderate detail. Consider a Nvidia 9800 GTX/4850/8800 GT etc if you've got a PCI-E slot available.

Back then I thought I made a killer deal buying it for 120 bucks... eh, I was young and didn't have a clue:slap:

Nowadays it can't even run 3dm06, and back when the card was new, it was barely good enough for minimum details. I remember playing GTA VC on that card. It sucked.

Anyway: I agree with Darren, get a nice and fast AGP card of todays time.

PS: Radeon x800 is GOD compared to the 5200.
