Gary7. That name rings a bell.

I don't remember, sorry. Been a while since I've been here, you see...

TPU was running Vbulletin back then... Oh, Lord. How the mighty has died.

I only see that Notification/bulletin if I'm signed out but return as a Guest.

Since his post count is so low and hasn't shown up for some time, it could be that his post count affects the status of him still being counted as a new member.

I have done all of that and I still see it.

Cool kidz don't see it. :p

i KNEW you guys weren't telling me all the internet had to offer. DAMMIT!

dude has 10 posts...how many times could a person with 10 posts signed in/out, and seen that message?? i feel like i walked into an episode of the twilight zone.,

I have an account at Hardforum, registered in early 2010.

It has 11 posts. It's got the same username. I've signed in & out of Hardforum countless times. I are a lurker there.

Yeah I see your point and I was aware of the possibility of someone having an account & not using it(Posting w/ it). I suppose my point is this. I've had an account for three or so years And I probably logged in eight times total over that period of time. I guess what I'm saying is if the message bothers "you" stop signing out, does that make sense?

I totally understand the not posting, I've been visiting techpowerup since 2005 2006, and it wasn't until 2012 that I made an account

Sometimes cookies (web term) get fu-ed up and it keeps logging me out. That's one of the cases.

Or forgetting to check "Remember Meeeeeee" box is another case.

Apparently it says that message for everyone all the time forever ,but it's not like it's a popup, or anything intrusive.it's just on the top of the webpage at forums ,like a welcome message, who cares that it's there with a just cause?

If This is what hes referring to

If it's something that comes up after logging in I have no clue why it's there I suppose will have to wait till someone more knowledgeable tells us:rolleyes:

That's what I exactly see before I log in as I don't stay logged in, after I have I don't have that message until I log out.

But isn't the OP saying that it's a personalized message with his username in it? That's what he put the title as. If it's not specific to him as a message, and it's saying what I posted a screenshot of above then of course it's happening. It would be no different then YouTube displaying non-specific videos to your activity until you've logged in. Or your personal emails not being available until you login to your email

W1z is a robot built by third world Canadians and designed by Apple,IBM and Fisher Price.

There is a good chance he's watching you!!!

And you regret those wasted years :) just think you could have had a long service Badge :)
That's certainly true for me. I discovered TPU just a few months after it started, but didn't think to register for three years as I just treated it as a news site. :ohwell:

News site!!!! They don't have a BIOS that can turn my 9700 non pro into a 9700pro!!

That's how I found it my memory is right. W1z was the only one collecting bios for video cards. I Wana say 03 maybe earlier..Can't remember.

Now you mention it, I think I found TPU, because at the time I had an AGP AIW 9800 SE - yes a real ATI graphics card!

Being an SE card, the GPU had 8 pipelines, but with 4 disabled. There was a softmod and a hardmod available to open them up and both were available on TPU. Worked a treat on my card, no artifacts or other glitches and the thing went like a rocket.

Oh, I still have it, plus it still works perfectly in its glorious obsolescence.

me also only problem is
No bl***dy Analog TV Sig in UK anymore ( mine is a powercolor AIW 9200 SE )
Still can watch tv with a retro build by using a Freeview ST box :)

Just wanted to post in here for to laugh factor. Funny thread:pimp: And current lurker. I have been reading this form for a while before joining. So i guess yeah me.. one more post! Also i have no idea on how to get of that message, i only use the computer and do not see that. So i guess if it was not figured out with above mentioned posts, use a computer.

I came from ExtremeSystems forum. I was running a fair amount of systems for their WCG team.

I don't remember why and how but I moved here and never went back there.
