Oh damn. Thanks for the warning! I loath that kind of crap in game.
Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game - if you disregard the constant crying and whining of the main characters and the badly written dialogues.

Nothing like Deliver Us The Moon, though.

Two more things now that I've finished it, one negative and one positive:
- Puzzles are sort of dumbed down. They introduced wall climbing, which takes up the majority of the exploration, and is very finicky to learn. There's also a kind of mini microwave power transfer puzzle, but you only occasionally encounter them. Other than that, it's a walking/jumping game. Even your ASE (your robot companion) doesn't do much.
+ The voice acting is superb. Like I said, dialogues are a bag of emotional cringe, but the voice actors did a great job getting as much out of it as they could.

I replayed DUTM three times, but one was enough of this one. Shame, because the base idea is good. If you can get it for a few quid on a discount, do it, it's worth one playthrough - but that's it. Good concept tarnished by badly written dialogues, emotional overload, unexplained teenage angst.. Damn shame, really. :(

Nope. That kind of thing irritates the crap out of me. I have much better things to do with my time then to cater to games that promote whiny special-snowflaking...
I'm totally with you on that one. The game deserved one playthrough from me as a tribute to the masterpiece that Deliver Us The Moon is (in my opinion), and to see how the story continues, but that's it.

Edit: I was shocked to see in the credits that the same people wrote the two games. They look the same, but don't feel the same at all. The last such shock I had was watching The Matrix 2 and 3 after the original.

After many months, finally finished AC Valhalla. Didn't quite finish Ragnarok to the same extent as the rest of the game though, as I was in a hurry to be done with it.

Next up is Titanfall 2. I'm curious to see if it lives up to the praise.

Trying not to read into this labored perspective as indicative of your fuller thoughts. Does seem you lost some initiative or fun factor during the final push.

Are you at all considering AC Mirage?

I was experiencing some Valhalla fatigue at the end, yes. But to be fair, I've been playing almost exclusively ACV for the last 4 months and clocked in 192h. I just didn't do all the map markers in the Ragnarok expansion.

As for Mirage, although I have mixed feelings about it (happy about the return to the roots and smaller game, unhappy about main character), I'll play it eventually, either late next year or sometime in 2025. I've played all mainline AC games and finished them all except for AC3.

Finished Titanfall 2. It was a shorter game than expected, but it lived up to the praise I've read about it. Wouldn't have minded playing another 2 hours of it.

Finished Burly Men at Sea (PS4)

A short but nice little Choose your Own Adventure game.
Simple with a beautiful Artistic direction.
That's why I like free games (was free on PS+), you can do random games and sometimes / often find good ones, or clearly games that I didn't get into at first sight
By the way, it certainly the easiest game to obtain the Platinium Trophy (for the ones who care :) )

Still to me the best looking female in gaming. This comes out in late 2002, looks miles ahead of what NOLF looks like 2 years prior. Need to finish NOLF1 first tho. Playing with my retro gaming PC (Athlon64 3000+ s939, X800GTO, Windows XP) this game aren't entirely stable with Windows 10.

That is very subjective. There are some from CP2077, Witcher 3, Mass Effect and even TWWH that could also qualify.

Sounds like possibly a game issue where anything >NT 5 results in game breakage. The most ridiculous one is 1999's Driver, where it fails on all NT-based versions of Windows that I tested it on, both Windows XP and Windows 2000. The music, even when literally CD-audio in the usual sense, fails to get played and there's audio crackling. Probably stuttering as well! The 1999 Driver is poop on anything other than Windows 95-based OSes!

something no woman has ever said to me...

and continuing on a serious note: this is one serious game. I think it just might be perfect.

SO far not one single bug. Performance is stellar. Made for AMD, and on my specs, I can 4k High details this with 60+ frames.....Only Forza 5 can give you this performance.
The first boss killed me 100 times. I suck. But its a very very well put together game. It really is.

Halo MCC has that performance with Navi10. I remember only having the RX 5600 XT and I could do 4K 60. With a lot of stuff after MCC, you would have to drop it to 1440p or lower.

Most recently, i played COD MW1 and COD 5 WaW Singleplayers.
And a little bit of Quake 2 SP

Never played with the iGPU from de Intel i5 2400. WaW seems to be too much for the iGPU:banghead:
