What are you playing?

Fired up the old SNES and popped in PTO II.

After a few mis-steps I'm finally off to a good start, I'm playing as the Japanese and so far I've been able to take Manila, Davao, Guam and Hawaii after a little over a month gametime, war being declared on 12/9/41 and it's currently 1/31/42 - Still have to work on Midway and Wake but that shoudn't be too much trouble since I've already decimated the U.S. fleets that came after me, leaving next to none I'll have to bother with for at least the next month or two.
All of my fleets are still intact "As fleets" but I have taken some losses too from these.

I've been able to add a Yamato class BB that contributed to the damage done - Every bit helps since in about 6 months of play in gametime, the U.S. will begin to gain the advantage..... That is if I can't continue the carnage to keep that from happening.
If the U.S. ever does get the advantage it's gonna be rough. :D

Having more fun with Chrono Trigger on Steam Deck than I expected, so I will probably be playing this for the foreseeable future, from what I understand its a fairly long game. I am bit of a slow reader at times, especially when relaxing, so I expect it will take me 40-50 hours to complete.
40 hrs sounds about right, I've played through it a few times (SNES - Original cart I have) and it does have multiple endings so..... To get them all you will have to play it through a few times if you're into that goal.
Make save points and keep those saves at points when the story branches off towards these different endings in the game to help with that, so you won't have to replay the whole game to get them.

Mind you 40 hrs is just for one playthrough, not counting going for all the different, possible endings.

Went for a sightseeing tour. All 3440x1440 max quality path traced. 56k warning under the spoiler

It is. Should take you about 30 to 35 hours if you rush through it, 10 to 15 more if you see the sights. There will some grinding along the way. Anytime you start getting thumped, stop in that area and spend an hour to 90 minutes leveling up. Then proceed forward. I know, basic RPG advice, but the Steam version of ChronoTrigger has some slight balancing issues, so be ready for them.

Finished Red Dead Redemption last night. First playthrough ever and holy balls that was a great game! :)

Now I'm finally prepared for RDR2 yet I'll play it next week. Something more comfy today.

Finally slipped away from TL2 with Mrs, been doing the BG3 thing, slowly slowly

A break from Hogwarts Legacy, while trying the Last Train Home demo (Check on Steam).

I just bought characther transfers. In World of Warcraft. It's insane. Obscenely flashing cash.

In terms of PC Games, I'm currently playing Dead Cells. Really nice game.
In terms of console (emulated) games, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Sonic Superstars.

And how is it?

Forza Motorsport at last and damn, the road cars feel so heavy and cumbersome. It will take some getting used to but I'm so happy to be a driving god once more... :D

Let's try some Mirror's Edge Catalyst on PS4. I have it on PC and it looks amazing maxed out at 4K, but I just want to see how it plays on console. :)

Just been looking at Super mario Bros wonder on Ryujinx switch emulator, which i have to say is absolutley brilliant. I can't believe how well they have got the emulation of the switch.

Will you skip Undead Nightmare, shorter but very good too, perfect for these Halloween times to come :)

In a gaming funk at the moment, tried out The Front and it's just.. not a good game right now

Probably going to go back to the old faithfuls of paradox grand strategy games.

I don't really know what to play so I'm just revisiting tales of arise and tales of xillia(rpcs3). Also trying to play Valkyria Chronicles since I really liked the 4th one, but its hard to get into it with all the improvements taken away.

Yeah, Switch emulation has come really far. I played through Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 3 and Fire Emblem three houses with Yuzu. There was just a bit of troubleshooting needed.

Hey good point there. Need to check that out as well! :)

How is pathtracing at that resolution on a 7900XT?
12-19FPS :D Reminds of playing on a shitty laptop with far too heavy settings

Still, I was positively surprised nonetheless, no crashing, image is stable, etc. I do run without FSR.

Farcry 6? I have this, it is pretty good, and there is so much to do. You tried MP?

Yeah has been pretty good. Havent gotten very far though. Ive been struggling to get into my games lately. Graphics are actually really good, its just the game play i found very repetitive, like alot of games these day and no, havent tried MP yet. Only play single player these day as its nice a mellow for me ;)

I know its a bit repetative, but i don't mind it tbh. it's fun driving/flying around the big map causing havoc.
