I play fps...all the best fps come out on the pc. I also like to play party games with friends, and the pc isn't so good for that....but consoles are great, so, I'd choose the wii, not only for party games, but for a unique experience...I know people consider it a console targeting the "kids", but the games are still fun, and you can't get that experience anywhere else. Plus, that remote could be pretty sweet for fps...time will tell, but, for me, it's a wii, and my pc.

I see that CoD3 runs great w/ the Wiimote, and it looks pretty good too.

my next console will be a dx10 card :D

well I play fast paced games on PC which is mostly for me shooters. Now playing a shooter on PS and Xbox is just terrible, you can be so much more precise with a mouse then a stick anyday. The only thing I give game consoles is racing games, and flight sims, but that too can be done on the computer with a racingwheel/joystick/controller. So basically no PS3 or Xbox 360 for me, in my mind waste of money. Im going with the wii, innovation, fun, a party console.

True very true with the FPS on PC. I play Halo ALOT on PC and XBOX and I have a harder time on XBOX but murder on PC so screw all the consoles and stay with PC. I will let my brother get a PS3 and find out, I will test it and see if I like it. But the 360 is awesome and I have owned own and sold it for my CPU. PC forever!

Well, that's my plan too, but I don't want to spend all the money on a high-end DirectX10 card right now, since I only play 1280x1024.

So in the order I'm getting them:
1) Wii for Christmas (since all DirectX10 is going to be high-end for this year)
2) Mid-Range DirectX10 Card for playing at 1280x1024 (Mid 2007)
3) Dual Core for Multi-Threaded apps in the future (and for Vista) (Q3 2007)

I'm slowly moving away from comps and games in general. Yeah they're fun, but I'm getting so busy now with homework and taekwondo. About 3 years ago, it used to be play all day, and go to Taekwondo for an hour, and do homework for an hour. Then getting ready for highschool, it used to be (daily) play for an hour, Taekwondo for two hours, and homework for a couple hours. Now currently, Taekwondo three hours, and homework for the whole time I'm at home, and free time would be watching something funny, games were only weekends. So I've realized that gaming has slowly gone away, but I'm still willing to play them. I'm at Taekwondo about 20 hours a week, and that takes up a lot of my time...

Btw, do you guys think there will be enough Wii's in stores by the end of November or the beginning of December so that I don't have to pre-order or wait outside the store for hours? So that I could just go in the store whenever I have free time and get the console?

I read about 4 million units are being launched compared to PS3s measly 400,000

I read that too, and it's seems like a decent amount and hopefully it will supply demands.

Last time I wanted to buy my GameCube, PS2, and Xbox, it took me a lot of visits to the store to get each system...man was it a hassle, but it was worth it.

and 360 is launching about 400,000+ more for the x-mas season, so they are on top of things

I like it how Nintendo always has a bundle during the holidays, like a free controller, and Mario Kart, or Super Mario Sunshine. I hope they do it next year, if not this year. But it's already coming with Wii Sports, which seems like a fun way to use the Wii Mote.

And for the price of the Wii, thats the consloe I would choose, fun, cheap and its a Nintendo. Owned every single Nintendo console that ever released and most Fav. game was Breath of Fire 1, cant get enough of that game and the sequels were great! Emulators are awesome!:respect:

Owned everything from N64 and up, and all the GameBoys too.

the ps3 looks the best, but i do like the content of the x360, was really liking the wii, but nintendo is to childish to do maturer games, but the pc is one of the best gaming device. so i gonna stick with dx10...

SEGA megadrive owned :)

woot damm stright Sega ftw

I would like a ps3 for thier Grand Turismo :), but I havent won the lotto yet to buy the system and all thoses cars... so I will stick with my pc and see what future upgrades come to me. :)

SEGA megadrive owned :)

Yay! :toast: Nothing will ever beat Sonic 2 for Megadrive! Well, Link's Awakening DX is almost as good..

It seems like their starting to though, with Call of Duty 3, Far Cry, they're including more Mature titles in their library. Yeah, a lot of games are still less mature, but they look fun. I was playing Excite Truck earlier, woo that was hella fun.

If I were going to get one, it would definatly be the Wii. There are soooooo many possiblities for it. Starwars, highlander, tennis, golf, fishing, the FPS's look awesome. It makes the game more interactive.

Yeah, the gameplays of Call of Duty 3, Far Cry, and Red Steel look awesome with the Wiimote, but I really want to see how Super Smash Bros. Brawl plays.

I definitely will get a Wii as I see nothing original on PS3.
PS3 is just simply dumping all the expensive stuff into 1 box.
They even copy Wii and put motion sensing in their "6 axis" controller. :nutkick:
Basically its dual shock which don't shock anymore

They are going to the built the game on the classic wii controller instead of in the wii mote. And Personally Im really happy about this. SM is one of the only fighting games Ive ever gotten into, I even liked it better than Soul Calibur.

So it's just...Dual? Lol...I was hoping that they would change the style of their controller. I usually end up getting all consoles out, but this time I might only get a Wii, and maybe Xbox 360 (Halo 3!)

I am not getting the PS3 even though it is available for the cheapest price in HK. (Compare to the rest of the world that is).

i was originally going for the PS3, but after seeing the disappointing games, i changed my mind. sure it has 1080p but i doubt i will even have a hi-def tv in the near future. plus the 360 has equally good games in more broad genres. primarily gran turismo and metal gear fans are going for the PS3. as long as i have GTA4, im happy. im sticking with my pc for now though, i dont have the cash for a 360
