I have two ideas, one is mainstream, the other is a little out there.

1. Mainstream - I want a FPS genre or third-person, Stargate SG-1 AAA graphics level of funding game. I like the original tv series from many years ago, and as far as I am aware there is only a rts game on steam from this series. Edit: Also, any of Brandon Sanderon's books as a AAA game.

2. Kinda out there - A live service based game that gets a major update once a month, the update is based off the news from around the world of the previous month. You get to live out your special ops fantasies from real world scenarios. So, let's say koalas are dying in forest fires in Australia, you can fly there and save them, perhaps act as logistics for the firefighters. Or let's say you read an article about this or that, you can interfere in one way or another. Would be a cool game if done right, but I know this will never happen lol

Runner-up idea: Any games that focus on improved physics combat (can still be arcade in style, as seen in my article HERE

Mods if a thread like this already exist, please link it and lock this one. I did a few title searches, but couldn't find anything

Give me another old school MMO where I can enjoy the multiplayer part at will, do my grinds, my fetch quests and my nonsensical stuff while being actually immersive and enjoyable to play. Give me another WoW in a totally different setting, not made by Blizzard but perhaps by CDPR or something, a game that takes itself seriously, but is still full of tongue in cheek stuff, with a world that's big enough to truly lose yourself in again, and without MTX; I'll pay a sub no problem.

We can dream, can't we. So many have tried, so many have failed at this. And there are numerous franchises in which this would work. Top of my list: Warhammer or Warhammer 40k. A full fledged MMO in either universe would mean infinite possibilities; Realm vs Realm with perfect accuracy on lore, not two factions but many in constant opposition, mini games in the shape of Blood Bowl and other nonsense... space battles a'la Allods 'space opera' attempt but with the Gothic warships... I mean... this is pure drool territory to me. Look at TW Warhammer. It already gets close to this, albeit strategically only, and it managed to make three sequels out of the same concept but kept giving us more variety and depth. If you could walk around in that very world... I think its a game that could be scoped like Star Citizen, except without procedural nonsense, because there's just so much lore to pull from.

i would like to have a kerbal 2 game with all the colonisation stuff they planed.. using todays tech and todays theoratical tech . to bad they went bankrupt...

That game is already being made - Resident Evil 9. I hope they make it like 7...very spooky.

I wanted continuation of Crysis ending when Nomad and Psycho return to the island to rescue Prophet. I wanted more in terms of suit customization like partial invisibility that last twice as long, and ability to jury rig alien weapon with conventional human weapon.

I want plain old Westwood RTS and continuation of Nod vs GDI as the way Westwood intended. I wanted Renegade 2 where they put us into commando unit in FPS style in CnC universe again. Would definitely love to see another Generals on modern war as well.

Definitely need more Bioware Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic style, don't need to remaster the old ones. I wanted more of this universe and their take about the Force. KoTOR I and KoTOR II was great telling stories regarding this, people still talking about this game and theory behind it even today.

Elder Scrolls game that combines all, Skyrim, Morrowind and Oblivion size with new character and story that could travel on those 3 continents.

Cyberpunk2077 that continues when the game ends (doesn't matter which ending), and added more quest path to what V seeks instead of just end it like that.

1. Kingdom Come Deliverance, but as a total life simulator with a configurable player character.

2. A Star Trek game not unlike ST: Bridge Commander or Freelancer, but much bigger, with much more exploration and mystery, kind of like Elite: Dangerous.

Crysis 4 with real photo-realistic environment.

Mirror's Edge VR. I'd instantly dig up my VR HMD from the closet.

The version of Secret Of Mana for the SNES that was envisioned for the SNESCD!

Oh that's a good one too!

Also, a PROPER continuation of Command & Conquer 3. C&C4 just doesn't count..

I want an actual RPG set in Middle-Earth. It’s batshit insanity that something like that has never been done (we don’t talk about The Third Age) or even attempted (cancelled The White Council notwithstanding). For a setting that is considered a grandfather of tabletop RPGs it’s really, really odd. Caveat here, of course, is that it would need to be made by a studio that’s actually respectful of Tolkiens work and is willing to adapt it sensibly so as to avoid absolute lore rape as seen in Shadow of Mordor/War.

Be careful with your ideas !
Someone at Ubisoft, or EA can stole it and mess it up !

The Landstalker remake for PSP as I haven't any original idea :)

CyberPunk 2077 Modded with DreamPunk 2.0 from NextGen Dreams, turn up the volume.

The next Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War. I know it'll never happen but one can wish.

That was indeed a travesty.

spiro graph on a computer like the old game on Paper

A full, proper The Last Starfighter game. With modern technology, it could be all that was promised in the movie and more. There never was an official release because the dismal box office at the time pulled the plug before the game finished.

Maybe a new Soldier of Fortune, nice and modern, plenty of gore..

Or maybe a modern F-Zero to pin you to your seat with crazy high speed graphics..

Some first-person action game where you're the Godzilla and your goal is to do Godzilla things. Of course with next-gen graphics and physics. Like Postal 2 but with Godzilla as the main protagonist.

I want a strategy FPS/RPG game in a realistic historical setting.

Strategy FPS/RPG? What?

So here is what I imagine. I played AC Origins, and I loved it. It is, more or less, an accurate representation of Ptolemaic Egypt (secret societies, corporeal deities, and magic notwithstanding). Bayek of Siwa would be a great leader of a Greco-Egyptian revolution against the Roman occupiers, with personal combat capability.

Ever play the Mad Max game? Think that, but with dynamic events affecting your influence and control over areas of the map. You can do various actions to affect the strength of your rebellion, spy, ambush, and lead troops yourself.

Your knowledge of an area is dependent on a messenger coming in from that area to update you.

The enemy reacts in different ways to things you do to them.

If there is a fight, or you need info, you can get it yourself.

RPG elements - each decision affects your reputation with the population, with the enemy, and with your rebels. You can develop skills in leadership, combat, and combat.

You have to develop civil institutions for your controlled areas.

It could be great.

Torchlight 1 & 2...
Both 80% off currently. They're very good IMPO.

combat, and combat.
Ah, yes, the gameplay here is made of gameplay.

I also had a series of pretty much lucid dreams of playing a game very similar to Cyberpunk 2077 but with some major differences [SPOILER ALERT]:
• It is not the main character that's doomed, it's the whole globe. Why? Because there's the last sunshine to be expected. Atmosphere and surrounds are becoming so littered sun barely punches through it.
• Personal cars are quite scarce. Regular citizens are not allowed to have them. All transportation for them is metro, trams, and specialised buses. Also not illegal to own a bicycle, or a very basic motorbike.
• The personal trait system. Just like in the Fallout series. For example, you might have a sprinter trait that makes your character run faster but they suck at long distance running. Or a trait that makes your character immune to poison at the cost of being more likely to have their limbs injured.
• Cyber implants are very rare and not as powerful. Technology advanced in terms of curing debilitating diseases, however, as the cancer, for example, only kills the poorest. Virtually impossible to die of a prion disease, either. Most deaths come from violence and no, it's not because crime rate is through the roof. It's considerably lower than in the real US. Suicide in late 80s is a common thing.
• The main protagonist never catches Johnny Silverhand. But you still have a "voice in your head," which isn't gonna do anything to your system, it's just a mental disorder. Sometimes your character does things you never asked them to do just for the sake of it. For example, they might refuse to shoot because the voice wasn't happy with that. Could be fixed with anti-schizo meds but these impact your character's physical strength and not in a pleasant way.
• Corporations are major players but the government is more powerful, unlike in Night City where corps own everyone. During some time before the main event, corporations faced gruesome crises. All of them. They just cannot overpower the governor office and the army.
• The city itself doesn't look like history porn mixed with some neons and shiny reflections. It's very reminiscent of industrial cities with a lot of brutalism going on.
• There is less gang activity in general but you still might run into some Italian mafia here and there. Wiseguys, however, are perfectly reasonable and don't do harm for no reason.
• Average civilians don't panick like crazy after you doing something suspicious. Some of them might even get interested in what you're doing. But they mostly don't give a crap, unless it's getting personal.
• The police are perfectly funded and for some reason, also pretty much just. Police brutality happens of course but there's no union that could make bad cops immune to punity. And they don't teleport to your location, things are much more in line with what happens in real world. No MaxTac, either. Instead, the army connects to the party and you're screwed. Because they will NEVER back off. And yes, instead of actively trying to kill you they will try to put you in jail first.
• The main storyline is centered on anything but your character. "Who you were, don't matter. Who you are, don't matter. Who you become... Don't matter." What matters is that everybody but the gov't is trying their best to let the Sun shine. You included. No matter your lifepath, you are doing quests that are meant to save the planet. For some reason, other cities and countries are clueless to the whole situation. Probably because the area you're located in "doesn't exist."
• Weather sucks. Foggy, rainy, cold (40 to 60 °F, or 5 to 15 °C), your character might lose their cool to it (just like in RDR2). And it's the middle of August! The further you go into it, the colder it becomes, up to -40 °F or even worse in January. Pantyhose on men isn't gay, it's a necessity... Luckily getting dressed isn't that big of an issue in this town. Also possible to improve cold resistance in your character by undergoing various procedures in medical facilities, or just consuming specialised substances which are, unfortunately, likely to damage your system. Side effects are real.
