And I don't feel threatened, And I do teat everyone with respect...I have a coupla friends who are gay and alot of friends who are not "white". Probably the only people I don't treat with respect are dickheads and assholes...and I have to deal with plenty of those...I'm the floor manager at a bar {got a promotion!!!} so there is no shortage of those types and they deserve no respect, maybe a punch in the face, but respect? Nope! I shouldn't have to deal with those sorts when I'm off work let alone while I'm gaming...Nobody should for that matter.:shadedshu

On topic: I never get offended by those ppl who give funny/bad remarks about you, I play CoD4 all the time and mostly encounter ppl like that who screams the hell out of his mic and cuss and insult or call you names, I just lol at them and keep on playing. Although there are ppl there who take it personally, I just pick him out of the lot and make him my target for humiliation.

The thread in general was about the unneeded racial slurs and calling of names such as "you queer, faggot, etc, etc,".

I stated earlier in the thread that I can tolerate the general "fuck, shit, damn, etc" but throwing out racial slurs and homophobic remarks is highly inappropriate.

Thanks to psyko I now have a rebuttal next time I'm called a homo or a negro by someone on XBL, I'm going to reply with a stereotypical gay man's voice and say "what up g" and then talk about how gay I am to have fun with him. It also works for other racial things, just mix seterotypical speech patterns. If you have fun with them they will probably stop.</incoherent run-on sentance>

My theory behind this type of reaction is that if they're disfavored by your reaction it will slowly stop, they'll unconsciously start looking for new ways to get a rise out of people, hopefully the new way will be less profain and offensive.
