what is the model of the processor

ES = Engineering Sample

It's not a production chip. Since it is a refurb, my guess is Dell (or someone else) threw one of their early testing ES processors in there. Dell can't sell ES chips but I don't think there's any reason why they couldn't ship them in refurb systems.

Dell can ship testing samples to companies and does I see it in systems coming out of oil and gas quite often. Those testing samples then get sold to refurb companies and end up in random peoples hands.

Just wondering... Have you checked in the bios settings, under the "Multi Core Support", to make sure it is set properly?

Dell Precision Workstation T3610 Owner's Manual
That was the first thing after I flashed the bios to latest version (a11) it has options only for 6 cores. I want to see is it truly e5-2687wv2 but I don't have mobo or a friend with x79 setup to test it.

...CPU so the problem is that I cant identify the model.
Engineering Samples don't have a brand (e.g. Core/Xeon) nor a model (e.g. E5-1660 V2). All it has is the manufacturer ("GenuineIntel"), family (6, goes back as far as Pentium Pro I believe), model (62, identifies it as a Ivybridge-E), and stepping (2, which basically means it was their second revision of Ivybridge-E).

I repeat: there is no model to find; it's an engineering sample.

Your software claims to find all 6 cores + hyper-threading (12 logic CPUs). There is nothing wrong as far as I can tell.

Anything that worked with Ivybridge-E should work with this engineering sample.

To make sure you'll have to dismount the CPU cooler and look at que sSpec code. That's the only sure way to know if software can't identify it. Even ES chips have sSpec codes.
