Hi guys,

Im trying to access files on my E: Drive which I know has lots of files on it even Windows can see that it is 3/4 full but when I open the drive it is blank. This happened when I had it externally attached through a docking station and it stuffed up when it was connected and then this happened.

Im been lazy today (its a Sunday) and I cant be bothered looking online for a program to use to get my files so I thought id post on here and see what you guys would use or recommend?

I tried Acronis but sadly that didn't work.

:toast:

Go into Folder Options and check all of the boxes to show hidden files and hidden system files. Beware that deleting the wrong files could require reformatting the drive.

Personally, I'd just format the drive then run chkdsk on it. It should clean it up.

If that doesn't work, run a Linux distro, they don't care about Windows or NTFS safety measures, and they don't bite.

Have you tried viewing it through command prompt?

This might sound stupid but, did you just put everything into the recycling bin but, not empty it? :p
