i use ASUS EAX850PRO, When i installed the Ati driver (ATI official driver, Omega or NGO). Window recognized the chip type is RADEON X800GTO (0x5D4F) (see in display properries/Setting/Advanced/Adapter). it only recognized it X850PRO with the ASUS ATI driver. Core/mem at 507/520Mhz.
Can i flash my X850pro to X850XT. Can i recover it to orginal after flashing fail? I mean does flash BIOS crash my vid? i'm newbie, plz help

My card is PCI-E and VIVO. I don't have RaBit. I don't know how to save the BIOS. Can ATI tools do it? fuse.JPG

Yes it can. The option is called "dump" BIOS. Unfortunately NO more pipes for you and it is 100% sure. Sorry.

sori just seen you clock speeds. you card is a X850PRO, its the way the Omega Drivers work.

for example if you had a 9250, it would say it was a 9200. according to the guys that do the Omega Driver you card falls into the X800GTO area, due to the amount of pipelines and clock speed, but you card will function as a X800GTO with enhanced X850PRO functionality. cheaper way of manufactures to make top end cards. Yes it is a full X850PRO, but all a X850PRO is, is a X800GTO with higher core/memory speeds.

Check here to see for yourself;

It is recognized like GTO because of the SubSystem and SubVendor of your BIOS. If you want it recognized like X850PRO send me the BIOS and I will change these settings.

The card has the same core as a x800gto. Many people buy the x800gto to flash it to a x850pro :p Maybe Asus fucked up the bios on the card *laughing* (x800gto to x850pro and vice versa is just silly marketing stuf). Just flash to a x850pro bios and you will be fine.
