People don't buy stuff hypothetically, they buy based on their purchasing power. I don't have the power to buy a top end card because the cards themselves are very expensive and then such a purchase will entail further expenses, e.g. there's no point in buying any of them if you have just a 1080p 60Hz monitor. Also, these cards must go toe-to-toe with top end CPUs, like 10900K or upcoming Ryzen 5000 which is yet another thing required to realize these cards potential.

So, you're asking a hypothetical meaningless question which again I cannot answer even hypothetically. It's like asking which model of Porsche or Ferrari I will choose. Fucking none, because I can only afford Hyundai.
You can't buy it now dude so it is hypothetical. Besides there is no prices yet and the MSRP may not be accurate. So this vote and what you would like to purchase is hypothetical.
Voting with your wallet vs voting with your mind is different. My mind might afford the 6900xt but my wallet might only afford a Nvidia 970.
your mind wants 6900xt but your wallet can't afford it.
There's a difference.

You don't get what the vote here is for. But that is OK.

I know its hypothetical. I'll vote for the 6900xt mobile version. I already have a 2080 mobile.

I'll vote for the 6900xt mobile version.

Ain't gonna happen, just how there are probably going to be no Ampere based mobile GPUs, at least not any that aren't severely cut down.

I'm def getting a 5700 successor, since having a 1080p monitor Navi 21 is an overkill for me. Besides $600 is a lot of money. I could fit a Ryzen 5 5600 and a gpu for the price

If there was a column on waiting for the RX 6700XT that would be my choice.
Going for the 7's, the 6700XT & the Ryzen 7 5700X. :D Usually they offer the best price/performance.

If AMD would release a bundle 5000 series CPU and a 6000 series GPU (there are a few options here) I would not hesitate getting on board. 5900X and 6800xt my preferred bundle especially if the price would have been lower than buying these separately. I think, these bundles can actually happen.

More for my partner than me but it would be either the RX 6800 non XT or Nvidia RTX 3070 next year depending which one fits best in the pesky Corsair Carbide 240.
I was hoping to get the Palit Jetstream RTX 3070 when its available but that is too wide for the case, the only one that seems to fit so far is the Zotac mini and Gigabyte coolers.
I'm hoping Powercolor or Sapphire release a reasonable size too.
Then it all boils down to price and availability next year which should be "decent" hopefully.

Right now vanilla 6800 but still holding out for 6700XT Numbers. I have no intention of buying until next year so lots of time to decide.

This poll would make a lot more sense if those 4 last options were removed. If it's meant to be hypothetical I mean, as in "If I were bying one of those RX cards then I would choose...".

If not then why aren't just about everyone voting to wait for reviews? Surely most people here will do that? :)

Don't be so sure about that. Nvidia will just down clock the core speed. The 3070 is rated at 220w, thats not that far to 150w to rate it the fastest mobile version. For the 2080 mobile, most laptops had a 150w but some had a 180w or 200w variant.

Since I didn't get the RTX 3080 at release I am thinking I will try my best to grab a 6800 XT and I am ready to spend the money but I swear to god if I have driver issues I will never buy another AMD card again. I hate their drivers compared to nvidia. I always have issues but everyone claims AMD drivers have been better and I have experienced that myself with my RX560 in my son's PC. So good lord....that card better work well.
