My card dead is so. I posted a WTB here and I'm looking for something used, but a bunch of stores are now selling GTX 1660 Super cards at pretty good discounts. I have been thinking about getting a 1440p monitor as well at one point, so a beefier GPU wouldn't come amiss. Used 1070's still go for about €70 less than a new 1660 Super so it makes no sense getting one of those, and like GTX970/980's are almost as old as my current card (while greatly faster) and yeah. A much better NEW card for less than twice the money as a heaps old GTX970 feels like a decent deal. And while I'm not exactly a serious gamer these days a GTX 1660 Super will last for bunches of years. I was perfectly happy with my GTX760, that should tell you something about my use case. The only reason I wanted to upgrade to begin with was because I was hoping to snag a good deal on a used card when the 3080 dropped but given the lack of supply the good deals happened for a very short time frame (when I didn't have the cash). But then it died, and while I have a Radeon 7850 somewhere I'm not really keen on going backwards. So.
The thing is I have no idea who makes good cards these days. I can go to reviews for cooling and stuff, but I have no idea which OEM has solid designs and good reputations.
Anyway. The cards are as follows:
ASUS Phoenix OC Single Fan - This one is the cheapest but after reading reviews imma say no, despite the tempation of a lower price.
Zotac AMP! - Seems solid but it'll be a couple weeks away, I was hoping to get the card next week.
ASUS TUF Gaming - No idea.
PNY XLR8 OC - No idea.
Palit GamingPro OC - Probably my choice because the cooler allows for trickery.
ASUS EVO - Idle fan feature. Which I frankly don't care about.
And BTW RMA stuff is handled by stores in Sweden and not the manufacturer.
Prices ranges from €211 to €234, normal prices ranges from ~€260 to ~€290.
Any input is appreciated!
