Which Motherboard

Need some help.

Which would be more beneficial to me, an x38 chipset or P35? It needs to support 45nm CPU's since this is the reason Im getting a new board. Im looking at DFI.

Need help deciding. I dont care about Crossfire and/or SLi as I wont be using them.

Well...I want this to last for some time. I usually update every 8-12 months but I want to hold out longer if possible as I am an upgrade junkie and I REALLY need to start saving money.

I have an 8800GT that is PCIe 2.0.

Does P35 have PCIe 2.0?

Go with the DFi P35 T2R, its a great Mobo, and as you can see has got my Q6600 above 4Ghz. DFI FTW!!!

Unless you really, really want to pay a ton'o'cash for DDR3...Which from the reviews I've read give you a whopping 3% performance increase...at stock. Once you OC the P35 w/DDR2, at least in SiSoft, Im way, way faster then the Fastest DDR3.

Also supports the new chips coming out.

PCIE 2.0 is only on x38/x48 boards at this point as far as I know, so if thats a consideration, go with x38.

The DFI x38 board does not use DDR3 at all. Its 4xDDR2 slots. The P35 board doesnt support PCIe 2.0 either.

When I go to make the account and put in all my information, I click create account and then it shoots me ot the log in page. It doesnt ask for verification that there is a link in my email or anything like that. I go to log in and I get the username and password is incorrect.

Well, motherboardpro.com was charing $35 for 2-3 days. the $8 was for 5-7. I didnt want to wait that long. To next day air it via FedEx cost me $31 at NCIXUS.com. Then, I insured it 100% for an additional 7.58 or something and that covers some sort of express RMA within 25 days if anything is wrong with the board. Hopefully, I wont have any issues.
