I have two laptops and I may need to sell one:
Thinkpad T61p
2.0Ghz Intel Core Duo Processor
128MB nVidia Quadro 570m
1 GB RAM
80GB Hard Drive
DVD Writer
14.1" 1400x1050 screen
Win XP Pro
or
HP dv7-3065dx
2.4GHz AMD Turion II Processor
ATI Radeon HD 4200
4GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive
DVD Writer/Blu-ray player
17.3" 1600x900
Windows 7 Home Premium
Of course the latter is a much newer model. I believe I bought the Thinkpad more than 2 years ago. But I swear the Thinkpad plays streaming video better (from Hulu) and I paid a lot more for the Thinkpad initially.
The HP has some features the Thinkpad doesn't have such as eSATA out, HDMI out (Thinkpad has only analog VGA out), and the ability to play Blu-ray discs. But the Thinkpad seems to run a bit faster and I hear they're more reliable machines.
I don't tote a laptop with me often. Usually I just have it sitting here at my desk, hooked up to my Dell 22" LCD and external keyboard & mouse.
I'm thinking the HP might be easier to sell because it's newer and, well, people go for numbers more than anything (2.4 > 2.0, 4GB > 1GB, 500GB > 80GB, etc)
Thoughts? Comments? Insults? Thanks.
