It runs fine on 2x512 ballistix, but when I put in the other, windows boots and all, but after a few minutes I get the BSoD. Any suggestions. I thought maybe a bios update, but I looked and I have the current which is 1.D for MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

Did you set the correct voltage, timings and frequency for your ram in the bios?

I didn't adjust the voltage, but I did make sure the timings and frequency were correct according to the RAM manufacturer. Maybe it needs a little more voltage...hmmmm

Are you using all four slots, or just switching them up. Maybe your board isnt capable of running 4sticks.
What bios settings do you have for Ram?

up the NB voltage as well as ram.

run memtest, see if its stable.

I wasn't trying to run 4 sticks. I've memtested the RAM, and either one by itself is fine, but for some reason it doesn't like those 2 1gb sticks of supertalent pc3200 @ 3-3-3-8-1T. It runs great with 2x512 Ballistix @ 2-2-2-6-1T. I put the supertalent back in my AV8 with a 3500+ and gave it to my mom, and ordered 2 used 1gb sticks of OCZ platinum @ 2-3-2-5-1T. This mobo is way more finicky than the AV8, but I bet it will be good with the OCZ Platinum.

Wow you really like your low timings don't you? Note: They really don't make that much diff.

I should read more about memory timings. But I do know that I was getting the BSoD with the supertalent @ 3-3-3-8, and it runs perfect with the ballistix @ 2-2-2-6 so I went with something low, and cheap.

Least your Ballistix will let you boot into windows. Mine wont even let me POST :wtf:

Love the old school rig you got there :toast:

On a PC running PC3200, I would have to disagree. If timings weren't better ram like TCCD and BH5 would have had no place with overclockers. At that speed, timings are all the difference in my meager opinion.

Did you try taking 2 of them out and reset the CMOS. Then maybe reinstall the other 2, but you probably won't be able to OC. I know I could run all 4 Ballistix in my AV8 board, but I couldn't OC very far. It ran good as long as I didn't try OCing. I tried putting my other 2 matching Ballistix in this board and it didn't like it. It booted up after a couple tries, but it didn't act right and I'm pretty sure I got the BSoD after a short while. Give it a shot.:toast:

You ever get your opteron...also I have so Mushkin Redline DDR500 4x1gb if interested

I have not reset the CMOS in my SLi rig, i might try that. I have tried even with one stick of ram just to see if it will post in both of my machines, and nether will POST :ohwell: Went and tested in my m8s P4 Skt 478 Mobo and it posted, but only with one 512 stick, soon as you put 1GB in it wouldn't post :wtf: I still gotta try a few things yet, wen i get time.

Ohh it's you again;) How much you want for a pair of them, or all 4? PM me.EDIT: I got my Opty, but it was suppose to be CCB1E and the one I got was CCBWE of the worst week/year combo according to my research, so I sent it back and their sending me a CCB1E.
