Will a Intel SSD work in this computer??

Hey, ive got a customer that is wanting a SSD installed into his 4yr old HP computer (for the OS) and i was wondering (since i havent played with a SSD yet) is there a limit or possible issues with installing a SSD into a older machine? this machine of course has Sata 2 on a crappy Intel mobo.

So yea just wanted to know if it would work fine or there be possible issues?

I don't think you will have any issues. I used a Crucial M4 on an old AM3 for about a year and it worked great--huge performance difference. When I switched to a SATA3 board it also seemed to help.

It should work, it just won't work to its full capacity. It will still be better than a mechanical drive. Heck I've got an SSD in my PS3 and it only has a SATA 1 port...
