windows 7 RC download?

I went to download the Windows 7 RC too late, it had already ended, but I also hear it still works is this true? If so is there any place where the DL is still available?

no legal places left, no.

It hasnt expired yet, but its not far off doing so - download the RTM (again, no 'legal' sources) and use the rearm switch so you get a 120 day trial of it.
