is there any good replacment for windows explorer? i have no problems with it other then it tends to use about 60mb of memory dayin and dayout. ive been looking around but i have no clue.

your operating system has to use some memory dude.. windows explorer is a fundermental part of it.. u cant get rid of it.. he he..

Aston shell can replace explorer.exe, personally I think it's ugly though.

Explorer.exe is only using ~22MB on my pc. I believe you can reduce how much system memory it is using my not having many quicklaunch or taskbar items as well as turning off some of the flashy features.

well i have like everythign disabled. idk its using 16mb currently. this is just pissing me off.

mine is useing 24.. my total memory usage is about 262 meg.. 25 of which is the firefox browser..

the bottom line here thow is u dont exactly have much to spare do u.. 512.. photoshop.. autocad.. games.. ???

simple solution my bro, save the money and get stop buying some stuff for the girlfriend (maybe she'll understand) and get yourself some cheap ram that you can oc

well yeah but my mom prolly wont let me order anything anyway. kinda sucks but oh well. if i were to do anything i would get a mobo first as it doesnt like running this pos ram at 2/3/2/6 under games. its fine for 24h in p95 but not in bf2... either way.

PS STAY AWAY FROM SOYO NUBS! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID THINKING THEY WERE GOOD CHEAP MOBOS!!!
