When WHS actually ships, rather than being downloadable or sold as a shrink-wrapped product, it'll primarily come preloaded on various dedicated devices like the recently announced HP MediaSmart Server

Hopefully by "primarily" they don't mean "only", this sounds pretty sweet, you could get by the max 5 connected users issue (or is it 10?) with this I bet.

i dont know. it sounds like crap to me. i mean you have to install drivers on the client computers to get it to work. IMHO a server should not require any drivers.

im sticking with my 300gb + 120gb hp media vault. if anyones woundering here are the specs. keep in mind that tghis is NOT a requlare x86 computer.

300mhz proc
64mb of ram (but has a HUGE pagefile)
300gb 7200rpm 8mb cache sata 300 hdd
3 usb 2.0 ports
