This has actually been going on since I was beta testing Windows 7 and it seems to be an ongoing problem whether its on my end somehow or just in the OS.

Has anyone noticed that after youre playing a movie/tv show/music using a media player and you have it paused briefly (10 minutes or more), that when you resume what you were doing it plays for a few seconds, pauses, then resumes?

I have had this going on since beta of Win7 and cant seem to make it go away. It does it to me regardless of formats of Windows and the hardware that I use.

Just curious if it is a bug that Microsoft has never bothered to fix or what.

Thanks guys for your input!

Yeah. Happens with Media Player Classic as well. But movies speed up visual to catch the audio. I just kind of ignore it or restart the program.

Yup. Thats exactly what happens with me. Was just curious if it was just some weird bug i got or if everyone has that issue.

Not too sure. It hasnt bugged me that much. But it is annoying when it happens.

WMP seems to have a glitch with synchronizing, especially if the file is too large. I've found out that long time ago. It happened to mkv and avi, with mp4 it was fine. However to avoid that bug I use KMP, it doesn't have this glitch. VLC also had that glitch IIRC
