Wireless Gaming mouse upgrade from G700s

Long story short, i've been very happy with my logitech mice over the years, especially the MX518 and future wireless mice i've owned with the same body shape (G700, G700s, recently)

Upgraded to 4K and i've noticed that unless they're in max performance mode (which eats the battery rather fast) there is a small delay before it starts up, and that can cause very small movements to simply not show on screen. I noticed playing CoD2 (retro LAN) that i simply couldn't do small sniping movements, if i let the mouse rest still... i had to keep it in motion doing slow movements to have the precision i needed.

My wifey has a DeathAdder Chroma i won in a competition (amusingly, a CoD2 competition) and i find it's extremely light weight and lack of wake up delay actually does help me game better, even if i dont like its shape as much.

I'm currently looking at higher-end wireless mice and really can't decide what to move to.

Current options would be:

Logitech G403
Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum (with the same sensor, is this even any better than the 403?)
Steelseries Sensei (I know nothing about this mouse, other than its a similar price)
Razer Mamba Chroma (heavier than the logitechs and the deathadder chroma)

I use my G700s 'wirelessly' but its powered by a Samsung mobile phone charger at all times as i dont like the weight of the mouse with the battery installed. Have you tried the same to stop it going into sleep mode?

Dont forget to set the performance mode to max in logitechs control app.

If that doesnt fix the issue then it might be worth contacting logitech support and letting them know . Maybe they might have or dev a firmware update to fix the problem

Same here, I use it mostly plugged in.

That G900 just doesnt look like it would have the same feel.

plugged in and on max it works a lot better, but its many years old and could be easily moved to my server PC or laptop - so it wont go to waste if i upgrade. My older G700 is slowly developing issues (worn feet, sticky buttons) so it's upgrading two systems with one purchase.

it's proving really hard to find a worthy upgrade, although waifus razer mouse really does feel nice due to the much lighter weight.

didnt liked none of your posted options, also not a fan of wireless mice, but if i had to choose a wifi mouse for me will be this one:
Level 10 M Hybrid > reason: i own the regular and 1st revision of the Level 10M, so far the best mouse i have used!

Sleep pattern observed in G700/700s (45.7 fw ver.) on BOTH wired and wireless. LGS has issues. Sometimes after a reboot I have to completely reinstall LGS due to the fact it refuses to run and all mouse keybindings are reset! Ugh!

I just went through the same pain with the loss of my G500(left click went on it) and needing a suitable replacement(I am after wired and you are after wireless) I ended up "settling" on the G502 as it's that or cheapo mice...I'm also quite attached to Logi's "shape". Ironically checking the site you have linked the G502 is a "steal" compared to the 2 wireless Logi's you linked. I will say I'm happy with the G502 so if you want the extra "bells and whistles" you can't go wrong with the G900 but the price gap is pretty big compared to the G403 so tough call all round. Heck after seeing those prices I would suck it up and go back to wired and grab a G502...

i can likely get the mice cheaper in aus, that website is just a good indicator for what stock i'll find locally.

As far as razer vs logi goes i'm leaning towards the logitech G900 due to finding out the razer mice dont store anything in the mouse itself, only the drivers - i really, really hate setting things up on an OS reinstall and want to skip that so the G900 might be it afterall.

Yeah that is a nice feature if you want to use it. I will say I am pretty pleased with the G502 so I'm sure you will like the G900.

If you liked the MX518 there is one new for sale that I could find at a decent price. I owned one and loved it. I also use the G500's, owning 3 of them now.
You can't find them anymore for that price.

just bought a new chair since mine broke, so the mouse will now be delayed - but i have pretty much settled on the G900 unless something similar launches with the more familiar shape before christmas.
