At that fan the USB is for powering only. The fan is unregulated. And that's not weak as modern chargers deliver 90W via USB.
No kidding lol
I never said the usb port was weak
I said add a usb fan controller to it for adjustments.

Looks like JST 1.25mm pitch. Also seems like a fan cable adapter should be supplied?

Those 2 fan connectors don't seem to leave room for the case if connected. Maybe why the USB fan, what's the current rating for that, something like 150mA?

Not sure if this is your BIOS update, can check it out.

PS mentions 12V fan connectors have temperature control.

It says on the manufacturers site that they are "4pin DuPont 1.25mm pitch" connectors.
You might just have to make your own cable.
I think this connector is on Intel NUCs, so maybe you could modify a NUC cable(like this one) if you can find one.

Oh? Where? It's nowhere on the product page for sure.

Claiming a fan header is "weak" by just looking at a picture
I think what @gurusmi is getting at is that the wire gauge is so small that it may not be able to deliver any good high current to a fan. Is this what you were getting at @gurusmi ?

Nope. In mine you can wire AWG16.

Pin it out w/ a DMM, and measure it w/ calipers.

+V and Gnd are easy.
PWM and RPM sense can be a lil harder, but operate on the same TTL voltages (meaning, accidentally reversing Sense and PWM is mostly inconsequential)

I'd bet you can find a laptop fan in your bin or on the cheap, that'd fit. (Also, likely a +5V fan header like in a laptop, v. a +12V as seen in desktops)
*snip* and re-wire the plug into an adapter, or onto a choice fan.

Edit: The supplied USB-powered fan should be discarded or modified.
Otherwise, the USB is likely to be killed, or other 'gremlins' will appear over time.

There's likely no filtering on that +5V fan's inductive load. Add a filtering cap, or figure out the internal header. USB is meant for low-power SMPS power and data.

4pin DuPont 1.25mm pitch
OP should be able to buy pigtails and adapters for 1.25mm 4p on Amazon/eBay.
