X1900 Series Overclocking and Feedback thread

I would like to see some overclock numbers from you guys with rev.2 1900 GT's. From what i understand they don't overclock very well.

My card is a rev.2 Sapphire X1900 Gt with stock cooling

I've gone up to 580/810 3Dmark 06 stable and no artifacts, the core temp hit 75c and the ENV temp hit 55c under full 3D load.

How do those numbers sound? Good, bad, normal?

Here is my 3Dmark 06 score. I think its a little low, for my system. What do you guys think?

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1515517

EDIT: Ok, at 590 on the core i got artifacts and at 819 on the memory i got artifacts using ATI tray tools.

Its not a terrible score, its around what a X1950Pro gets @ stock.

Well this increasigly hot weather is really getting my card to hot for my taste. I have seen it go 95C° while gaming so i had to lower core frequency by some mhz to remain stable.

WOW! Shove an HR-03 on there. Hell, the plus variety keeps my 8800GTX under 65C in AZ!

Well i want to spend as little as i can on my computer these days and i already have an aftermarket cooler. I gues im going to reaply some thermal paste and add another fan to make it through the summer

Turn up the fan to 100%, listen to loud music. :D

I have very silent zalman cooler on it and its on 100%, and i also have a 92 fan blowing from the side. What i need now is one fan to mount it to exaust hot air from the case.

X1900 Gt

My 1900 GT is From 3Dconnect and it is a rev.2 core/memory 513/657.It' fast, sexy, oh and very HOT! Damn 85 c when scaning for artifacts. I use Thermaltake Tidewater CL-W0052. It keeps my card below 65 c at max load. Love it the card with watercooling.Geniunes!!! Now my 1900GT oc very well. Stable at 553/820. wow on the ram. Gets a mark3d 06 of 4363 sm2.0 1686, sm3.0 1839.The big red heatsink/fan on the 1900's look great to bad they don't cool well at all. shame.BTW is it true you can run two X1900 GT's (without a master 1900) in crossfire, but only on a 975X chipset Motherboard?

is there any way to raise voltage on the sapp x1950GT? with 0.27 atitool there´s no option to do it.

my temps are (winter) 29° C idle and 37° C full load (AS5 and TT Big Water 735 WC with CPU and VGA block).

Alrighty. I need some help guys. I'm getting major artifacts in 3d games and on boot. On boot it's pretty much a few pixels dancing around. In games such as CS:S it's graphical anomolies such as a line shooting off from a texture. I even had to lower my Core down to get less artifacts. It seems that I'm running a r580 XL bios on a r580 XT2 core on a x1900gt????? So I'm wondering if I should look for lets say another card with the same memory type which is like Samsung 1.6ns I think..... and a r580 XT2 core. I wanna try that before checking if HIS even put thermal paste on the heatsink. It's probably too late to RMA because it's been sitting on my friend shelf for about a month now.

Perhaps there´s some damage on the core, the same happened to my Powercolor X1600 Pro a year ago no OC just gaming.

I tried different BIOS, it even had different PCB from reference so I couldn´t do much thing.

perhaps it's not the best idea to mix amd processors with Nforce and an ati video card lolz :) oh yeah and mac ram from geil :P

ATijbaroli: try using ATI tray tools for o'clocking

When you guys boot do you get a message that ask to engage Poller, I always click no, the default is yes, I've got 2 connect3D X1900GT's in crossfire and I run them @ 628Mhz core/1440Mhz mem. I double check the volts, I think I'm @1.475. In the game Stalker, I get only 32fps @ 106 F all maxed settings ( I am however water cooled with 3 waterblocks in series with two radiators), does this make any sense here or am I completely lost. I will check volt on my next reboot, although probably won't be for days as this rigs runs pretty much 24/7/365, only down for periodic maintance

overclocking help with HIS X1950pro 512mb agp

Hey guys! I just got the HIS H195PRQT512DDAN-R-V2 Radeon X1950PRO 512MB AGP IceQ 3 Turbo HDCP Video Card from newegg and i was wondering how much more could i overclock it and is it possible to mod it to the XT version.
thanks

Here is what my system are along with the my graphics specs.

DFI Infinity 875P rev.b (not lan party version) socket 478 motherboard
Pentium 4 Extrem Edition 3.4GHZ 512k L2, 2Mb L3
2 gig Dual Channel OCZ Platinum PC-3200 2-3-2-5
HIS 1950pro agp 512mb 590Mhz core / 1.54Ghz memory (HIS factory settings) use to have X850XT agp
120 gig maxtor SATA 150mb/sec 8mb cache 7,200rpm 9.8 averge seek time
LG 1933TR-SF 19" LCD monitor 2ms 3000:1 contrast HDCP/DVI
Dual DVD burners Sony

First look at the memory chips if they are 1.1ns you can overclocked them to xt. How much you can overclcok, well you tell us, try.

You can make volt mods. You do not need to make changes in bios to xt, you wont unlock any pipeline you will yust raise core and gddr, you can do that normally with creating profile in ati tray tools

OK this is my Max so far- I've got a X1900GT stock speeds of 500/1200, oc'd to 702/1628 I get 5621 3d06 (stick that in your pipe and smoke it X1950Pro's!):rockout: Just imagine what i could get with a C2D.

I used to have a X1900AIW. I've gotten it up to 750 core with a voltage increase in ATI tool. At that speed, it would hit 75C during artifact scan. I didn't usually leave it that high. The memory didn't overclock very well on my card though, could only get it to 550. Don't remember my 3D mark '06 score though, I think it was around 6250.

I´m trying to OC x1950GT from Sapphire but even at 540 MHz core the computer randomly freezes, and got stability and BSOD withy many games (test drive Unlimited, FSX, rFactor...) using 7.6 catalyst drivers, also partition corruption (thanks god Norton Ghosts exists :p)

Any help would be appreciated :D

wow that's wierd i've got the sapp x1950gt 256 agp version and i can oc to 648/816

heres what ati overdrive auto detects for max on my 1950 pro,i know the core will go higher,so is there a way to raise the max core on overdrive program?

clocks.jpg

i have had a few problems using ati tool on vista,so i thought i'd try overdrive.this ups my ram to 796,in ati tool,it locks up if i even put the ram to 700.

ok i'ma do this tonight.... but what are these values an where is voltage in atitool.27??????
2.121V MVDDC
2.121V MVDDQ
1.498V VCDDI

2.121V MVDDC
2.121V MVDDQ
1.498V VCDDI

MVDDC is the Memory Voltage.
MVDDQ is the Memory output buffer voltage.
VDDCI is an aditional core voltage sometimes reffered to as the "3D mode - core voltage"

Normally MVDDQ should be less than or equal to MVDDC.

In ATI Tool, click the button in the bottom right corner labled "SETTINGS".
Move cursor back to top scroll bar, click down arrow and select "Voltages".

Don't fry your card!!

:toast:

hmm.. i dont see voltages in .27 or .26. and .26 doesnt have fan control for x1950xt?? i know it did on my x850xt wtf?
also i have 3 profiles in rabit editor
default
499core
600 mem
1.15 v
tmax 140????????? u gotta be shitting me

profile1
same as above with tmax of 120 lol

profile2 i am guessing 3d overdrive
621core
702 mem 1404 effective
1.4v
tmax 105 so much colder!!! lol
which one should i edit in rabit for fan settings? and what is some good voltages if you guys know for x1950 xt from gecube with coolermaster aftermarketcooler and a truckload of heatsinks??

ATI Overdrive

Trigger69, I don't think there is any way to raise the potential overclock numbers in ATI overdrive , you can only go as high as what numbers are listed in overdrive.

I had the same issue with my X1900GT, that is why i use ATI Tool.

And I know Vista is iffy, that is why I'm still using XP.
