XFX Preps Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition 4GB Eyefinity6 Graphics Accelerator

theres a new ati 5970 reference pcb?

I'm pretty sure there is, unless I misread what that overclocker said when he posted up the Ares.

Where can I preorder? AND, will this mean, in a crossfire setup, I can theoretically connect 12 monitors and have the gaming station from hell? THIS is awesome, and I'll put my regular 2 Sapphire OC edition 5970 up forsale right away!

When I win lotto this friday I will buy myself two of these + six nice 24" screens.

And because I'm a nice guy I will buy one for each of the people in this thread already.

You can thank me later.

Yeah but it would be better to get 4 5870 6-eyefinity style, then 24 screens.

Also yes its true that you can do that, you can search for videos of 24 screen eyefinity.

i just hope the all makers they make more that way none of them become "special" like Aries need some competition for ppl who actually want one

HUGE!!!

Wonder if it will fit in my Shuttle HTPC.......nah doubt it :shadedshu

I'm gonna get one in 3 years when DX12 is out and they're $150.

LOL, thats the way!

That's how I do it lmao. I bought the 8800GTX for 110 when the 4850 was still 130-140ish.

Cooling doesn't seem to be a problem... using my Lian-Li PC-A17B as an example:

But seriously, they will "end" somewhere in the drive cage. Just flip my front 120mm (also add the Lian-Li 140mm rear extractor), and along with some nice temps, will have a wire-hide for the PCIe connectors ;)

Now where's the hole for breaking fluid?

That suddently makes the 4850 looks like the better choice

Now that's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG card!!!!!! You need a 300$ case to fit that monster in. LOL!!!:banghead:

You know what's funny? The Corsair Obsidian 800D is about $300 after tax/shipping (if applicable). :D

Could be interesting but I was never a fan of XFX and there own ideas (revisions)

Id like to see a battle between the other manufactures and see who wins :D

Similar to Asus' but Asus is using 2 5870s Oc'd for theirs where I think Sapphire and XFX are using the 5970 OC'd with 4 GB of Video memory.

I don't know what you are talking about on this one :p
The 5970 are make of the exact same chips (if not even higher binned ones) as two 5870s.

AMD actually hints that the 5970 are made from the best Cypress XT (5870) chips.
Asus got you on that one mate.
It is 120% marketing BS from Asus.
