We had a chance to drop by the XFX suite during the Computex. They are showing off their Radeon HD 4770. It comes with the dual slot reference cooler, which was actually not intended for retail and the power supply has a very unique design along with a cable management system. The PSU is rated for 850W and features a single 70A 12V rail. On top of that it is 80Plus Silver certified.

Like the look of that card! Finally one with the dual slot exhaust cooler!

Yeah that should been the release version, Is there still a shortage of 4770's ?

uhmmm, will XFX manufacture a 600wat ver of that PSU?

at last a proper cooler lol , i like it . whats the eta ?

Man that PSU is awesome!!
cant wait to see it:D

Still a reference design... :( I'm talking about the PCB layout, BTW...

WTF is with no rubber rim on the main cable hole o.0

Maybe it's actually inside.

isnt that the one they "cant" release lol.

why can't they release it ? , it looks better than the crap spare parts cooler lol

i duno i just remember some companies made oc vers of the card but ati wont let them release (for obvious reasons) i just remember hearing xfx had one too.

That psu neon fan would look cool with a UV cathode kit;)

wow 70a :D
thatll do sli/cf with ease

I dont see the 4770...

That PSU has the same specs as my 850W Corsair PSU.

yea, kinda ponitless to show off or display an HD 4770 with a nice stock cooler when the ones that are supposed to be available aren't available and production is slow. I really hoped AMD would have had a solid card launch with the HD 4770, they could be making some good cash.

with the recent price cuts its not really that important as youll be able to get the 4870 for roughly the same dosh as that 4770 ;)

$99 compared to $146(newegg). 50(50% increase) bucks is a big price difference especially for people that might look at the HD 4770 as their budget is probly 100-120 give or take 5. though the HD 4850 which IS better can be had for 99 bucks right now. 9800GTX+ performance for 99 bucks, hell yea. So even if Hd 4770's were in stock there's no reason to get it when the HD 4850 is the same price. The reason for price drop on HD 4850/30 is because the HD 4770 when released killed it's sales since HD 4850- $140-160, HD 4830- $114-139(i thk). Then they ran outa stock of the HD 4770 and can't keep up with it now since TSMC is having issues with 40nm yield. I bet even right now they have the RV870 is full production and finished, they're just stocking up since they're in 40nm also, which may have attributed to HD 4770 be in short supply cause what yields they can manage is using the RV870 architecture so it'll be a solid launch and have enough in stock and warehouses till TSMC perfects the 40nm process. just my suspicions.

That 4770 card has been on ZipZoomFly for a while now. Out of stock of course.

my xfx 4770 is like that, as i have said in other threads, that cooler sucks when compaired to the ugly coolers everyone else used on the 4770

They are its just production atm cant keep up they go IMIDIATLY. could always sit up at 12 am pressing refresh LOL! other than that i duno what to tell u

nah it's not cause they go immediately, i mean they go fast i'm sure, but if the yields at TSMC were better they wouldn't go out of stock like bam, any hard launched card has always been available and if yields are good they stay available. Well i guess ur right since yield ties into production lol

Arg. I'm building a system for a friend and I wanted to use the 4770!!! but Its out of stock!!! even at newegg!!
