Does no case count?
Got a new toy, bonus points if you can identify the motherboard..
This ones going to be a weird combo of parts.
The bios is a blast from the past and fist Gen UEFI jank intact, has 3 separate bios interfaces lol. Ez mode, classic mode, and OC mode.
My God those graphics are rough... It tries to look like concrete maybe? That 5775c is an awesome find!

I may have encountered ONE user in any tech forum with a 5775C and I can't even remember what forum that was. Iceberg Tech has a good video of it :)

I had one back when they were "popular" among the enthusiast scene but had a lot of boot issues with the thing trying to direct die cool it. This time I'm going to delid and just use ptm7950 between the IHS and keep it on the CPU so I don't run into mounting pressure issues. Most 5775c's top out at 4.2-4.3 anyway so that's the goal along with an 1800-2000mhz edram speed.

Nothing's wrong with your RIG. My cable management is the same, even more clutter some. I stopped kinking, bending, wondering where to pass them trough. Ain't good for the cables anyway.

Sweet soundcard you got. Would love to snag STX II second hand some time.

I suppose your PC is on a carpet, to have the PSU face up instead of down??

Thanks, I am guessing it's quite common to be less than perfect with the cables, so long as they are safe and don't snag anything or harm airflow too much.

I love the sound card, I must have had it 10+ years come to think of it, I have it connected to some studio monitors, lovely clear and powerful sound especially using ASIO.

And yes it's on a carpet (rug), there is very little clearance underneath so I thought it made more sense!

Found the skins section while exploring the bios... Would kinda be cool if you could make custom ui's like this on modern bios.

I managed to get the Samsung greens up to 2133, anything past that was a no go. It might have been the memory controller. The 5775c came in today, going to play with it a bit later tonight

The CPU itself looks brand new and came in a retail plastic shell.. Makes me wonder if it's NOS.

Managed to get 4.3 on the stock cooler with realitivly low voltage. Cpu gets to around 75c under load, I have a beefier cooler on the way and will have more time this weekend to play with it more :)

I don't know anymore, cause the 9070 xt itself is marvelous, but I'm a dinozaur, cause old gtx 1070 ti was so cold, vs this card is hot in vram, but it maybe that gtx was not raporting vram temps :).
I've installed arctic p140 max pwm fans, and it is still hot, the card is just playing with it's fans speed, the temps are set to max 80 degrees on core hot spot, and vram is jumping 84-86 degrees, but with vertical gpu, and pc laying flat down, the temperatures where around 80 degrees on vram.
Even with 4x Arctic p140 max, 1x Noctua industrial 140mm fan, and 1x Arctic p120 max, it is still toasty. (And I will get back to this i guess in weekend to finally run some strange commands in Cachyos on arch, that will give me the power to change fan curves of the gpu).
(ps it was tough to install 3x140mm fans on front, but with pliers, and some fiddling it was done :D )
oudowa.jpg

I forgot to turn on the top fans, and the temps and fans speed was high -.-
Duze temp.jpg
I think it is after some ducting inside the case, but I don't know anymore.
nizszcze temp.jpg

And here is one of the ducts, but I disassembled it, cause it was not worthy of having part that could move, and get into fan blades.
dukty.jpg

And for now I'm done with pc, the case is just cheap Logic Dart Pro Midi White.
The dell xps 630 case is waiting for it's moment for now :).

I don't even know what that fan layout is and why tower cooler is mounted that way, you basically have intake from the front being sucked up by top fans and now you put 1cm of foam in front of the intake fans, basically forcing the case fans to be exhaust only. 84-86C is standard temp for GDDR6.

I don't know either :D, About tower cooler hot air is going up, so why not help it :D, seriously, about fans, You are right about this getting fresh air outside the case, but I like fans :D, and the more the better :D,
About 84-86C on vram, for me it is to much, I wanna 80 max, and that's it, and I like tinkering around and checking everything Myself, even the dumbest fan configuration :). (I've spent week trying to make a difference in this gpu, but it is just designed that way).
Edit, I think I was under influence of the "Hurry up, before we all come to our senses!" :)

You can replace the thermal pads with putty, that will probably net you a handful of degrees off the memory temp. While your in there consider replacing the thermal paste with some ptm7950.

This guy on YouTube has a lot of documented thermal mods for graphics cards and has tested tons of products head to head, seriously underrated channel.

Here's a couple of links to the good stuff.

Back to air.. started to get paranoid about the AIO.. not sure why, it was running fine. This way is quieter anyway.. so whatever.. don’t have to worry about permeation, and don’t have to listen to 6 fans breathing through a rad now lol..

Temps are better, around 6-8C lower than in case and horizontal.

That's one way of doing it! Kinda cool too!
Only thing I'm not fond of this design is that wires that hold gpu are aluminium ;( and are way to flexible in comparison with copper wires.
But wires where from "spore" design to help with sagging xD but the card itself is small enough that there is not much sagging :).
