The award winning EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 and SC2 are now upgraded to 11GHz memory giving a full 352GB/s of memory bandwidth for improved performance. EK Water Blocks, Slovenia-based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is releasing two EK-FC1080 GTX FTW2 water blocks that are compatible with multiple EVGA GeForce GTX FTW2 1080 and 1070 series graphics cards. This kind of efficient cooling will allow your high-end graphics card to reach higher boost clocks, thus providing more performance during gaming or other GPU intense tasks.

EVGA is refreshing the top-end of its air-cooled GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 lineup with its new iCX cooling solution. Apparently, the company has redesigned the PCBs of its top-tier GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 cards from the ground up, in response to the recent VRM overheating issues. It also deployed a powerful new cooling solution just to be sure (and possibly to differentiate them from the older cards cooled by the ACX coolers).

EVGA showed us three cards in its 2017 CES booth, the GeForce GTX 1070 SC2 (model: 08G-P4-6573-KR), the GeForce GTX 1070 FTW2 (08G-P4-6676KR), and the GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 (08G-P4-6686-KR). The cards appear taller than their predecessors, and draw power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The company didn't detail the iCX cooling solution. It plans to replace the current SC, FTW, and possibly Classified series graphics cards from its product stack, with these new cards.

Looks like EVGA is putting the issues with the GTX 1080/1070/1050 FTW line of cards behind them, after handling the issue the best way they could. The company has now begun teasing a new addition to their GeForce product stack, with the company's Product Manager, Jacob Freeman, publishing a tease on Twitter regarding an upcoming GTX 1080, the FTW2, which features iCX cooling.
