Following the launch of its consumer-oriented GeForce GTX Titan, NVIDIA is planning its second graphics card based on the 28 nm GK110 silicon, this one for professionals, and featuring in the Quadro family. Likely bearing the model name Quadro K6000, the card is expected to feature 13 of the GK110's 15 streaming multiprocessors (SMXs), which work out to 2,496 CUDA cores, 208 TMUs, 40 ROPs, and a 320-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, likely holding 5 GB of memory. The configuration could be just about enough for 1 TFLOP/s double-precision floating-point performance, and could hence offer an upgrade over Fermi-based Quadro 6000.

TechPowerUp announced version 0.6.8 of GPU-Z, the popular graphics subsystem information, monitoring, and diagnostic utility, which gives you detailed information about the installed graphics hardware, and lets you monitor key specifications in real-time, such as clock speeds, temperatures, voltages, and video memory usage. Version 0.6.8 introduces support for new GPUs, namely NVIDIA's GeForce GTX Titan, GeForce 505 (GT216), GT 640M, GTX 675MX, Quadro K2000, and K3000; AMD's Radeon HD 7480D, FirePro W8000, V8700, fake HD 6850 (based on HD 6450). The 10 mm thick copper base covers the GPU, RAM and voltage regulators. All surfaces with contact to the card are highly polised to 1/1000mm. The top is made of stainless steel and comes with a laser engraved logo. Above the GPU the block uses a 0.25mm micro structure which results in a delta of 10°C between the GPU and water in our internal tests with Furmark. Due to the precise CNC production process the RAM chips can be used with thermal grease which offers a much better heat transfer over thermal pads.

EVGA unveiled its LED Controller software v1.0.0.11 for GeForce GTX Titan. Similar to the one that works for the GTX 690, the software tinkers with the voltage of the 2-pin connector that powers the glowy GeForce GTX logo on the top of the card. The software gives you either static manual control, or adjusts the logo's brightness according to GPU utilization, clock; or produce a groovy "breathing" effect. Colorful announced a factory-overclocked GeForce GTX Titan graphics card, which sticks to NVIDIA-reference board design. The card ships with a maximum GPU clock speed of 983 MHz (an offset of 100 MHz over NVIDIA reference specifications), with a memory clock speed of 6.40 GHz (roughly 400 MHz overclock). The board and cooling assembly, as mentioned earlier, are NVIDIA reference designs. Colorful's package includes a pair of jacks that work to minimize PCB bending on the graphics card, in addition to the usual paraphernalia. Colorful will begin sales in the Greater China region.

Even as every other AIC partner is under strict directions not to modify GeForce GTX Titan board design, NVIDIA pet EVGA released pictures of its upcoming GTX Titan Signature SC HydroCopper graphics card (model: 06G-P4-2795-KR), the first GTX Titan with a full coverage water block pre-installed. Co-developed by Swiftech, EVGA's block uses nickel-plated copper as its primary material, with a secsi black shroud running the card's entire length. In addition to the 7.1 billion-transistor GPU, the block cools memory chips and VRM components on the obverse side of the PCB. The reverse side gets a back-plate. EVGA did not disclose clock speeds, but the SC (super-clocked) brand extension suggests it ships with a factory-overclock. EVGA didn't disclose its price, but we expect it to be around US $1,300.

Specifications of NVIDIA's upcoming high-end graphics card, the GeForce GTX Titan, which were reported in the press over the last couple of weeks, are bang on target, according to a specs sheet leaked by 3DCenter.org, which is allegedly part of the card's press-deck. According to the specs sheet, the GTX Titan indeed features 2,688 out of the 2,880 CUDA cores present on the GK110 silicon, 6 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 384-bit wide memory interface, and draws power from a combination of 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe power connectors.

The GeForce GTX Titan core is clocked at 837 MHz, with a GPU Boost frequency of 876 MHz, and 6.00 GHz memory, churning out 288 GB/s of memory bandwidth. The chip features a single-precision floating-point performance figure of 4.5 TFLOP/s, and 1.3 TFLOP/s double-precision. Pictures leaked by various sources east of the Greenwich Median reveal a reference board design that's similar in many ways to that of the GeForce GTX 690, thanks to the magnesium alloy cooler shroud, a clear acrylic window letting you peep into the aluminum fin stack, and a large lateral blower.
