Sapphire unveiled a factory overclocked version of the mainstream Radeon R7 250X Vapor-X graphics card it launched back in February, the Radeon R7 250X GHz Edition. Based on the same exact board design, featuring the same dual-fan Vapor-X cooling solution as its predecessor, the GHz Edition card features clock speeds of 1000 MHz core, and 4.80 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory; compared to reference clock speeds of 925 MHz core and 4.50 GHz memory. The card takes in power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include two dual-link DVI, and one each of HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2. Based on the 28 nm "Cape Verde" silicon, the Radeon R7 250X features 640 stream processors, 40 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. This card features 2 GB of it.

The SAPPHIRE R7 250X Vapor-X and SAPPHIRE R7 250X are based on the successful graphics GCN (Graphics Core Next) architecture from AMD and deliver advanced features at new affordable price levels.

The SAPPHIRE R7 250X Vapor-X has 1 GB of the latest DDR5 memory clocked at 1300 MHz (5.2 GB/s effective) and a GCN architecture with 640 stream processors and core clocks of 1100 MHz to deliver new levels of performance in its price segment. It features a dual fan SAPPHIRE exclusive Vapor-X cooler, which delivers quiet and efficient cooling even under load. Today we have two new members of the mainstream Club 3D Radeon R7 family to show you. The new Radeon R7 250 Low Profile and R7 250X.

Until now the cards in the R7 series use the Standard Profile. But traditionally there is a strong demand for a capable card in Low Profile form factor, to be used mainly in a powerful HTPC system or a variety of custom applications. For these purposes Club 3D now adds the new Radeon R7 250 Low Profile to the range.

TUL Corporation, a leading manufacturer of AMD graphic cards, today announces another cost effective model at R7 series, the PowerColor R7 250X. Being the sibling of other R series models, the R7 250X is surely packed with the latest technologies, including ultra resolution gaming, the Microsoft DirectX 11.2 support, ensuring extreme gaming experience for gamers without any compromise.

The PowerColor R7 250X is based on GCN architecture with a total of 512 stream processors, delivering massively parallel computing power for graphics and other accelerated applications. The new model is fitted with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory connected via 128-bit memory interface; Clocks are 1000 MHz core and 1125 MHz for the memory, delivering the most out of its ability.

AMD is working on a new SKU to seal the price-performance gap between the Radeon R7 250 and the R7 260. Called the Radeon R7 250X, the chip is said to be based on the 28 nm "Oland" silicon, and could feature a stream processor count of 640, with 40 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 1 GB or 2 GB of memory. The GPU is said to be clocked around 1.00 GHz, and memory around 4.50 GHz (72 GB/s). VideoCardz scored pictures of two of the first R7 250X graphics cards, branded by Sapphire and ASUS. AMD will slip the R7 250X into the channel rather quietly. It's already showing up on European retailers for around €90 (incl. VAT).
