This Week in Gaming (Week 5)

As we're about to enter February, there are a bunch of new releases to look forward to this coming week, oddly enough many of them Japanese, just like this past week. This week's major release is based on a DC comics movie, which may or may not be appealing. As for the rest of this coming week's releases, we got a turn-based roguelike, some corsairs, punching, but only once, a fantasy action RPG, an anime 3D fighter and a JRPG. Hopefully there's something here for almost everyone.

Good news for our Closed Alpha participants!
Back in November, we held a Closed Alpha Test for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League where players agreed to a Non-Disclosure Agreement and got a chance to check out an early section of the game. Now that there is more news out on the game and players are asking, we're no longer enforcing a portion of the NDA and we're allowing players to talk about their experience from the Closed Alpha Test. We've heard the community requests and want to give players an opportunity to discuss what it's like to explore Metropolis as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Delayed To February 2024

Warner Bros has announced that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed once again, with the new release date now set for February 2nd, 2024. Apparently, the developer needs more time to "work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players." Originally, the game was scheduled to launch in 2022, but has been delayed to May 2023.

Earlier Bloomberg report hinted that Warner Bros will one again push the release to 2024, mostly due to negative responses at a PlayStation live stream, which were mostly focused on the requirement to play online for both single-player and co-op and battle pass. Now, Warner Bros has officially confirmed the delay over on Twitter, confirming the new February 2nd, 2024 launch date. Unfortunately, this is not a minor delay, so hopefully, Rocksteady Studios will be able to get it right this time and there won't be further delays. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will come to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S.

NVIDIA Discloses Batman: Arkham Knight PC System Requirements

Ahead of its June 23 release, the minimum- and recommended-system requirements of Rocksteady's next installment to the super-hit Batman: Arkham franchise, Arkham Knight, was disclosed by NVIDIA. The PC version appears to have some clear visual benefits over the console variants of this game, given its steep storage requirements. Given that it will get an NVIDIA GameWorks varnish, PC gamers can expect eye-candy that won't make it to the console versions, including support for high-resolution display standards, such as 4K Ultra HD.
Without further ado, the system requirements lists.

Slated for May 29, the GOTY (game of the year) Edition package will feature the previously released Catwoman, Nightwing and Robin DLC, as well as the Skin and Challenge map packs, and what the trailer calls "final chapter, Harley Quinn's Revenge." Find its Christian Audigier-esque logo below. Unfortunately, the May 29 release only targets Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3; and the UK edition won't arrive until September 7. Does it take that long to cross the big pond?

The GOTY Edition trailer follows.
