Lushfoil Photography Sim Out Now on PC, PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S

It's the end of a long road, I'm exhausted. It's intimidating to finally put Lushfoil out there, but I'm also overwhelmingly excited to see what people can create with it. I hope the game falls into the right hands, and that those people with a sense of experimentation and creativity can surprise us all with what they've taken. I've put a lot of love and intention into the environments created in this game, and now it feels like time to pass it on. I can't wait to see the photos you take!

I'm thrilled to introduce Lushfoil Photography Sim, a tranquil, open-ended photography exploration experience available today on Xbox Series X|S. While real-life photography can be accessible, it can be harder to commit the time and money to travel. Inspired by some real-world locations that had a huge impact on me, I wanted to virtually recreate some of the highlights of my travels so others can experience them too. I committed to learning Unreal Engine over the last few years in order to do each location justice, and make the game I've always wanted to make.

EA Sports Dives Deep into F1 25's Revamped My Team & Driver Career Modes

Introducing My Team 2.0: as mentioned as part of our Reveal, My Team is having its biggest overhaul since it was introduced in F1 2020. If you've played My Team in one of our previous F1 games, you'll be familiar with taking on the role of driver/owner, a single character that not only runs the day-to-day activities behind the scenes, but also jumps into the cockpit for the on-track action. For F1 25 however, we're shaking things up, as My Team 2.0 sees you take on a more authentic, management-focused role in that of a team owner.

In addition to handling day-to-day running of the critical facilities that make an F1 team tick such as Engineering, Personnel and Corporate, you'll be responsible for recruiting and managing a pair of drivers to represent your team. Then, during race weekends, you'll be given the choice as to which driver you'd like to take to the track. By managing the competing concerns of two drivers instead of just a single teammate, you'll discover what kind of owner you'd like to be. We believe this refreshed approach allows you to craft a My Team story that's unique to you, unlocking new avenues of decision-making for you to explore.

Matrix Games Announces Steam Launch of Armored Brigade II

Armored Brigade II has released on Steam. Since our Matrix release in November, we have been very busy working on Armored Brigade II. Boasting a meticulously researched database and huge real-world terrain maps, this game offers an unparalleled combat simulation experience. Building on the success of its acclaimed predecessor, Armored Brigade II elevates the wargaming experience by skillfully blending accessibility with tactical depth—all within a new, more immersive 3D graphic landscape. This finely-tuned balance makes it an ideal choice for both newcomers and veterans of military wargames. inZOI Development Team Prioritizes Release of Hotfixes for Early Access Build

Hello, Creators. We have seen concerns in the community about the "short break" mentioned in my recent letter of gratitude to players. To be clear, the inZOI team's "short break" was just two days of vacation. We apologize for causing worry with our vague wording. We are aware of the wide range of feedback and improvement requests you have shared. Additional hotfix patches are scheduled for this week, and we are continuing to monitor feedback and develop builds. We are prioritizing fixing various bugs and issues that disrupt gameplay. But to reassure you about our dedication to making inZOI a better game, we would like to share our future update plans and how we will communicate them.

Short-Term Update Plans
As explained in our online showcase, we originally planned content updates for inZOI about once every two months during Early Access. However, given the spirit of Early Access—completing the game together with you—we intend to quickly apply fixes for reported issues through hotfixes during April. These short-term updates are smaller in scale compared to major updates, but we expect that rolling out content faster and incorporating feedback more promptly will have a more positive effect on your gameplay experience. Additionally, whenever we identify critical issues, we plan to keep addressing them through hotfixes. As mentioned, we want to stay true to our words about not taking advantage of the term "Early Access," and show gratitude to those who purchased the game by continuing to release updates and maintain open communication. We will continue to wait for and welcome your feedback.

Saber Interactive Addresses RoadCraft Demo Performance & Gameplay Issues

Hello everyone, RoadCraft's demo has been rolling for the past week, and seeing so many of you give a try to our game filled us with joy! Thousands of you downloaded and tried out the demo and you covered altogether more than 2 billion km on the demo, which is absolutely awesome! We've custom-made this demo to give you a sample of the gameplay and vehicles, but be assured that you're far from having seen everything! Now, we are focused on carefully reading your feedback, and we want to address some of them before we release the full game on May 20th.

First, the elephant in the room, the absence of fuel consumption
We know that fuel consumption is a core element in SnowRunner or Expeditions. But RoadCraft is a totally new experience for us, in the simulation field. It has been developed on a new iteration of our engine, and its technical specifications differ from those of our other games. For those reasons, it doesn't offer the same gameplay features. Map exploration and traversal is not as central, rebuilding and reshaping terrain are. When we started the development, we initially had a fuel consumption system, however this mechanic was tedious and didn't bring anything interesting to the core gameplay of the game. However, it doesn't mean we want to throw away the idea without any reflection, and especially after seeing all your feedback on it. We might think about integrating fuel consumption, but later on, in a new game mode for example.

EA Details How ML & AI Bolstered Development of Latest Madden & College Football Titles

On June 1, 1988, the very first Madden video game was released to the world. Players needed to load up either a Commodore 64/Commodore 128, Apple II, or MS-DOS to launch the game. When they did, they were greeted with 8-bit animations of the NFL's most popular teams and found themselves controlling their favorite players to try and win themselves a Super Bowl. And at that time, it was amazing. Thirty-seven years later and EA SPORTS hasn't stopped advancing Madden and our American Football games.

Most recently, we launched EA SPORTS Madden NFL 25 and College Football 25, which are tentpoles of our beloved American Football Ecosystem. Yet our football games are no longer blocky pixels and four-directional controls. They're among the most realistic sports simulation titles on the planet. We even celebrated the recent Super Bowl weekend with these titles and our very own Madden Bowl, featuring championship games and incredible music all in the heart of New Orleans. This is in no small part due to the incredible teams and their mission to make our games better every single year. And technology plays a critical role in making this happen.

The Sims at 25 - Veteran Developer Discusses Franchise History

25 years ago, The Sims made history with the first instalment of a legendary series that would go on to be one of the best-selling of all time. Few simulation games have enjoyed the success and longevity of The Sims—and the freedom and creativity to play with life however you want has afforded the series near-unrivalled appeal in the years since. This week, Electronic Arts is celebrating this milestone and the history of the series in a big way, which includes a huge The Sims 4 Free Content Update containing new Create a Sim options, clothing, Build/Buy Items and much more. The festivities will also include the limited-time Blast From The Past Event, which lets players earn revamped versions of iconic items from the original The Sims game via in-game goals.

We had the opportunity to chat with Kevin Gibson, Production Director for The Sims at EA. Gibson has been working in production roles across the franchise since 2003, and has first-hand experience of how the series has evolved in that time. The studio is abuzz with excitement about the franchise's birthday, and Gibson shares that digging deep into the series' past to rediscover nostalgic highlights has been extremely rewarding. "Our incredible players have shown us that no one does life like The Sims, and we wanted to celebrate this journey we have been on together," Gibson says. "25 years ago there was a game with an idea that made big a splash at E3, and look where we are today! We've been part of multiple generations and touched millions of lives.

Sports Interactive & Sega Announce Cancellation of Football Manager 25

Sports Interactive regret to inform that, following extensive internal discussion and careful consideration with SEGA, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Football Manager 25 and shift our focus to the next release. For the large numbers of you who pre-ordered FM25, we thank you enormously for your trust and support—we're very sorry to have let you down. Please see the FAQs below on obtaining your refund. We know this will come as a huge disappointment, especially given that the release date has already moved twice, and you have been eagerly anticipating the first gameplay reveal. We can only apologize for the time it has taken to communicate this decision. Due to stakeholder compliance, including legal and financial regulations, today was the earliest date that we could issue this statement.

Development Update: Football Manager 25
We have always prided ourselves on delivering the best value for money games that bring you countless hours of enjoyment, that feel worth every moment and every penny you spend. With the launch of FM25 we set out to create the biggest technical and visual advancement in the series for a generation, laying the building blocks for a new era. Due to a variety of challenges that we've been open about to date, and many more unforeseen, we currently haven't achieved what we set out to do in enough areas of the game, despite the phenomenal efforts of our team. Each decision to delay the release was made with the aim of getting the game closer to the desired level but, as we approached critical milestones at the turn of the year, it became unmistakably clear that we would not achieve the standard required, even with the adjusted timeline.

Google Genie 2 Promises AI-Generated Interactive Worlds With Realistic Physics and AI-Powered NPCs

For better or worse, generative AI has been a disruptive force in many industries, although its reception in video games has been lukewarm at best, with attempts at integrating AI-powered NPCs into games failing to impress most gamers. Now, Google's DeepMind AI has a new model called Genie 2, which can supposedly be used to generate "action-controllable, playable, 3D environments for training and evaluating embodied agents." All the environments generated by Genie 2 can supposedly be interacted with, whether by a human piloting a character with a mouse and keyboard or an AI-controlled NPC, although it's unclear what the behind-the-scenes code and optimizations look like, both aspects of which will be key to any real-world applications of the tech. Google says worlds created by Genie 2 can simulate consequences of actions in addition to the world itself, all in real-time. This means that when a player interacts with a world generated by Genie 2, the AI will respond with what its model suggests is the result of that action (like stepping on a leaf resulting in the destruction of said leaf). This extends to things like lighting, reflections, and physics, with Google showing off some impressively accurate water, volumetric effects, and accurate gravity.

In a demo video, Google showed a number of different AI-generated worlds, each with their own interactive characters, from a spaceship interior being explored by an astronaut to a robot taking a stroll in a futuristic cyberpunk urban environment, and even a sailboat sailing over water and a cowboy riding through some grassy plains on horseback. What's perhaps most interesting about Genie 2's generated environments is that Genie has apparently given each world a different perspective and camera control scheme. Some of the examples shown are first-person, while others are third-person with the camera either locked to the character or free-floating around the character. Of course, being generative AI, there is some weirdness, and Google clearly chose its demo clips carefully to avoid graphical anomalies from taking center stage. What's more, at least a few clips seem to very strongly resemble worlds from popular video games, Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Redemption, Sony's Horizon franchise, and what appears to be a mix of various sci-fi games, including Warframe, Destiny, Mass Effect, and Subnautica. This isn't surprising, since the worlds Google used to showcase the AI are all generated with an image and text prompt as inputs, and, given what Google says it used as training data used, it seems likely that gaming clips from those games made it into the AI model's training data.
