Overclocking

Overclocking was done without excessive abuse of operational voltage to keep heat output and power consumption in check. Voltage of 1.475V was used to find the maximum stable clock under a small Scythe Katana II cooler. The result was an unimpressive 3.90 GHz, but the good thing was it could keep that clock stable using just around 1.425V, which would bring it close to the power consumption of the older version of Phenom II X4 965 with 140W TDP runing at stock 3.40 GHz frequency.
