I would like to thank Antec for supplying the review sample.

We have the Antec GX500 chassis on our test bench today. It is the second chassis to carry the GX label as the first was the GX700, a stylish-looking chassis at a great price point. It will be interesting to see if the GX500 brings the same type of value to the table.

Packaging

The Antec GX500 ships in a brown cardboard box with an image in both white and black on its front, while the rear holds a blow-up diagram of the chassis. Both sides also present the chassis from another angle. You probably noticed the complete lack of carrying holes in these panels, but the chassis is luckily light enough to make their omission redundant.

Two very sturdy Styrofoam spacers hold the GX500 in place. While this is great, it is a tad bit much, considering the size and weight of the case. A plastic bag has also been put over the enclosure to protect it from scratches and fingerprints.
