Assembly

Installing the motherboard is done by traditional means which uses a combination of spacers and bumps to secure the unit within the chassis. I strongly suggest taping down the bumps first for an added insulation measure to avoid any short circuits of the board.

As mentioned before, there are two spots for 2.5 inch drives to be installed within the Antec ONE. The one in the top uses a simple slide in mechanic, identical to that found in various other modern Antec enclosures, while the bottom unit needs to be screwed down from the underside of the case.

To install a 3.5 inch variant, simply place the rails on either side of the drive and slide it into the bay until it snaps right in. This system is completely tool-less and works extremely well. All connectors face away from the main side of course, so you should at least be able to route SATA power and data leads nicely.

To use an external 5.25 inch bay, you will have to pry the front off the chassis first. Once the bay is open, slide in the drive and let the screw-less mechanism snap down on it. This system holds quite well, but you also may use traditional screws to go all the way if you wish to do so.

Installing the power supply is done by traditional means with the supplied case screws. There is plenty of space for longer units, as long as you place no fan unto the floor of the case.

With everything in place, the chassis makes a surprisingly clean impression. I can see this actually looking good if you were to use a few extra zip ties creatively. The bulk of cables is hidden toward the front of the chassis.

Finished Looks

With everything in place, the chassis does make a good impression, but as you can see in the image above, colorful cables can clearly be seen through the front of the case for example. Sure, a fan would block this a bit, but also means that you run the risk of having cables interfering with the fan blades.

Two blue LEDs light up for hard drive and power and any installed drives look quite good within the Antec ONE. The one opening in the side lines up perfectly with the motherboard expansion slots, so that you may cool GPUs with additional fans. In the rear all the connectivity is easily accessible and can be found where you would expect to see them.
