Packaging

The box is small, and you won't find any information about the product on it. Only the phrase "Wireless Access Point" provides a clue.

Contents and Bundle

There is no extra protection inside, but the router has a tough case. It will reach you in pristine condition.

The bundle includes ceiling mounting hardware, an Ethernet cable, and start-up and quick-start leaflets.

To save some money, there are two versions of this AP, one with the power adapter and one without. Powering it through a PoE interface will be more convenient. Aruba has several PoE switch offerings. I got the version with the power adapter.

The Router

The AP has a small footprint and is lightweight at just around 500 grams. This means you can mount or install it anywhere without worrying about space restrictions.

There are two LEDs at the face; one shows network connectivity and the other power status.

Power input is at the bottom, along with the Ethernet and USB console ports. There is also a reset button, which can be accessed with a paper clip.

A Kensington lock is always welcome, especially in business environments.

The labels on the back of the router contain tons of information.
