VCCGT: Intersil ISL99390 (90 A)

The ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero features a 10-phase VRM configuration using a parallel—or "Teamed"—power-stage design. Intersil ISL99390 power stages run in parallel for each phase, which in theory gives ASUS better transient response and lower peak voltage spikes after exiting a CPU load compared to using doublers.

ASUS is using a Renesas RAA229131 PWM controller to drive the ROG Maximus Z690 Hero.

The ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero uses Intersil ISL99390 power stages for the twenty Vcore phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 90 A of continuous current. For the VCCGT (iGPU) phase, ASUS is using a single Intersil ISL99390 power stage.

The ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero has a maximum output of 1,800 A, with 1,710 A dedicated to Vcore.
