Final Thoughts and Conclusion

  • The ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi is available for US$259.99.
  • Solid VRM design
  • Good VRM thermals
  • Good memory overclocking
  • Attractive, neutral aesthetics
  • CPU overclocking below average
The ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi is a great mid-range Z590 motherboard. With WiFi 6, 2.5 Gb/s LAN, and an integrated I/O shield, as well as a reasonable storage complement, the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi has all the necessities for a modern system. When it comes to looks, the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi is a more grown-up take on the classic TUF Gaming aesthetic. Featuring a reasonable, if limited, RGB implementation and a design that is neutral enough to make for easy parts matching, the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi is more approachable than past TUF Gaming boards.

Out of the box performance was excellent for the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi. Memory overclocking was top-tier as well, as I reached 4000 MHz CL16 stable with my Trident Z Neo kit for both my 10th and 11th Gen samples. For CPU overclocking, I was only able to achieve 5.1 GHz on all cores for both my i9-10900K and i9-11900K. This is a little below average, but not deal-breaking, especially considering the VRM thermals were quite good, barely exceeding 65 °C even during my VRM torture testing.

The ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi is a well-rounded board with a grounded feature set, as well as good aesthetics and performance. If you are in the market for an affordable Z590 motherboard that can power through anything Intel can throw at it, the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus WiFi is an excellent choice.
