Aurvana Trio

While the Aurvana SE is a Super X-Fi certified version of a pair of $99 MSRP headphones that often go for ~$60, the second pair is more expensive and marketed at audiophiles, and it is included as-is without being a special edition. The Creative Aurvana Trio is a set of in-ear headphones with an MSRP of $150 routinely sold at $130, and Super X-Fi certified, which makes sense since Creative surely wants all their own headphones to work as best as they can with the SXFI amp. Packaging is thus of the retail product itself with an acrylic top and a wrap on the bottom with company and product information, including technical specifications and marketing features. Three seals keep said wrap intact over a black plastic bottom, and the two pieces that are left are simply clipped in place for a neat showcase box.

The Aurvana Trio headphones come enclosed inside clips on an acrylic plate that slides into a compartment in the top, which has a gap for the headphone cables to go through and into the bottom piece. The unboxing experience here is significantly more premium, but also more involved before you actually get your hands on these headphones. The bottom compartment houses all the accessories, which include a manual, compliance and warranty guides, airline travel adapter, hard travel case, and spare replacement silicone ear buds in small and large (medium comes installed by default), as well as a set of foam ear buds if silicone is not to your liking.

The angled nature of the in-ear Aurvana Trio headphones allows for a more.. intense.. fit, which effectively translates into a more secure mount when perfectly combined with a higher degree of noise isolation (rated at up to 98% by Creative). Quoting the company, "the Aurvana Trio houses a triple driver array with two precision balanced armature drivers for clear mids and highs, and one bio-cellulose driver for accurate and powerful bass". There is an in-line microphone with playback and call control as well, which is tiny even compared to the twisted cables in use, and the cables themselves are detachable using MMCX coaxial connectors, which allows users to swap the cable out, but also means finding replacement cables is harder.
