A Closer Look

Freed from the packaging fully, the matte finish of the Crucial Ballistix Elite sticks really stands out. One side has a product logo, while the other has labels.


I think the long straight line of the Crucial Ballistix Elite is pretty elegant, and while examining it, I noticed that they are single-sided DIMMs, memory ICs populating just one side of the PCB.


Looking down, the top of the stick reveals another logo right in the middle, while looking up from below confirms the single-sided nature of these sticks.


One of the product labels denotes the speed, primary timings, and voltage, while the other seems to be some sort of batch indicator if I remember correctly, but I am not entirely sure about that. More information can be gleaned from Crucial's website.
