The Endgame Gear XM1 was one of the most critically acclaimed mice of 2019, and for good reason: An ambidextrous mouse that managed to keep the weight down without having to resort to holes or similar, externally visible weight-reducing techniques, coupled with great build quality, buttons, innovative switch technology and excellent sensor performance. The XM1 White not just builds on these strengths, but improves on them: The side buttons have been updated slightly, leading to a firmer and less mushy click feel; the stock feet are a bit thicker now, resulting in an even better glide; and most importantly, the XM1 White comes with an incredibly flexible paracord-style cable, which is a massive step up compared to the regular XM1's decent, but hardly groundbreaking rubber cable.

Speaking of the regular XM1 in black: The last batch has already received the improved side-button construction. Furthermore, starting with today's launch of the XM1 White, the regular XM1 in black will receive the thicker stock feet and the new paracord-style cable as well.

Although I cannot give any predictions regarding whether the XM1 White's coating may be prone to stains or yellowing over time, I can tell that durability should be above average considering the coating is non-rubberized. Anybody in the market for an all-white mouse should be fully aware of potential issues with coloring over time, which is why that is something I cannot list as a negative. As for the rest of the mouse, the regular XM1 already got both the Editor's Choice and Innovation rewards for that, which is why the XM1 White will get those from me as well.
